I had an experience with an employee here that made me uncomfortable and ensured that I will never shop at this location again.
I used to frequent this 7/11 for snacks. I was going to get some food today. I also needed a charger for my phone to charge in my car, my phone was dead and I didn’t have time to go to a store.
As I grabbed the charger, the employee looked at me and said “Is that really a need for you?” I said yes, I needed to charge my phone now. He responded “Bring your phone to me, I’ll charge it. You don’t buy chargers here, they’re too expensive”
With this I just walked away without buying anything, including the food that I came in for. Yes, I’m aware that chargers are more expensive here, that’s why it’s a convenience store. But I was also paying the convenience because I didn’t have time to go to another store.
Having worked in customer service for years, you don’t talk to customers that way. If he had made a friendly suggestion to me that I could get a charger somewhere else for cheaper, I would have stayed. But the way he approached me and said “is this really a need for you”? Really was off putting and uncomfortable. It was a negative experience for me and I will not shop at this location that I used to frequent ever again. You should never “confront” a customer who is simply trying to shop. Very negative experience. I hope you know this cashier turned away a loyal customer.
I’ll gladly shop at another location where I’m not made to feel stupid for my purchasing decisions

Cashiers are always talking on the phone while they ring up your items, they don't even acknowledge you, they just keep talking on their phone. They also make you stand there and wait for them to finish meaningless tasks before they ring you up. I suggest going across the street to Holiday where staff are more friendly.

None (0/7) of the slushee flavors worked and the fountain machines (BOTH!) didn’t have any carbonation. There was one employee there talking on his phone. We had to load the kids back into their car seats and drive across the street to the other gas station.
