If you need help fixing your bike, need to borrow a specialty tool, or need some good used parts this is the place. Why spend $100+ at a bike shop when you can come here and spend $10. Cycling doesn’t have to be an expensive hobby!

These are the nicest guys ever. We were searching for two cheap bikes that would get us from A to B without any fancy stuff. After searching for days on FB Marketplace and Craigslist we went there and within 10 min we had our bikes. Thanks so much!

Offered to bring in a whole bunch of stuff in for a notable donation and asked the kid if he'd SELL me some old, generic platform pedals they had on a completely randomly-pieced-together bike they have for sale for $300 more than what it's worth. I thought the kid would say, "Hell yeah! I'll grab a wrench and throw on one of the thousand other pairs we have sitting here." Nope. Dude goes, "No. We don't do that."- as if there's some unwritten code of the junk trade. I can see why you'd NEVER do that since they sell for $13 brand new on eBay.

It was a fast and easy process. The guy helping me was very kind and patiently answered all of my questions as a new cyclist. Got a SWEET new ride for free, and it's going to help me so much. Seriously, this is a game changer and it wouldn't have been possible without the Bicycle Collective. Thank you!

Helpful employees who are always ready to give good advice on how to fix your bike! I came looking for a rear rack, without any notion how to fit it, and got walked through every step until the work was done: all for a very reasonable bench time rate. The bikes they had for sale seemed charming and moderately priced.

This place is not your typical bike shop, but it is my favorite by far. Go there, get used parts, cycle on.

Unfortunately the bike collective used to be a great place to buy second hand bikes and parts for locals who DONATE there goods. Over the past year the prices have gone up immensely. This is no longer a business for locals. They cherry pick the nice stuff, and sell it on eBay.All the pricing on parts are now eBay pricing.I tried to buy several items, and they told me they didn't have time to price the items. He needs to research them on eBay before pricing them.I loved getting parts here over the last few years. Unfortunately I had it out with the staff over the pricing, the red bearded guy said they needed to pay off a loan or the business goes away. Maybe they shouldn't be building a $2.5 million building, and focus on the community.I would feel pretty bad if I donated my bike for a $100 tax credit, then saw my bike for sale for $1200+ the next week.

Had a bent rim and all replacements were 120 or more online. Found one for 16$ and they helped me switch my gears over. Amazing fast service.

Pay attention to open shop hours. When open, the Collective is staffed with helpful volunteers and reasonably priced new and used parts. They'll help you keep your bike on the road or trail.

I don't know much about bikes but want to get into mountain biking since i moved to slc. I came here to find a used bike and the staff was very friendly and informative and the prices on the bikes were very reasonable. I found out that this store is a nonprofit and charitable so I was happy to support this business. They also have shop classes where they teach you how to fix your bike inexpensively. Really great experience and got just what I was looking for.

To Neptronix: Wednesday nights are for women. I am a single mom who needs this class. I live in a condo while my ex lives in a house with a huge garage and won't give me a dime nor help me out with anything. There are many more women in my situation. These people that work there are volunteers. They have been professional and helpful to me and I am thankful. I don't think you're seeing the big picture.
