Buyer Beware
Balance of Nature is one of the worst supplement companies I’ve ever come across. Just look at the endless 1-star reviews — I wish I had before wasting my money. The whole operation feels mismanaged, and it honestly makes you wonder how they’re still in business.
What really stands out is the irony: the CEO, Lex, doesn’t even present himself as someone who lives a healthy lifestyle. For a company built around health supplements, that’s a huge red flag. If leadership can’t model the values they’re selling, how can anyone trust the product?
On top of that, the company has a reputation for using cult-like business practices (some compare it to Scientology), treating staff poorly, and putting profits over people.
The supplements themselves are overpriced and unimpressive. Nothing about this brand screams credibility or care for customers.
If you value your health and your wallet, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Balance of Nature. Buyer beware.

Consumer beware. This product does not work as advertised. When I contacted them for a return I was denied. First employee Victoria wrote me.
Hi Brian,
Thank you for reaching out to Balance of Nature.
I have received and reviewed your refund request. One-time orders are not refundable.
Balance of Nature’s Return Policy is only valid for your first Preferred Customer order within the first 30 days. Unfortunately your refund request falls outside of the Return Policy and is no longer eligible for a return. Please keep your Balance of Nature products! Do not return them as a refund will not be available.
You can view the full Balance of Nature Return Policy on our Help Center Article: What is the Refund and Return Policy?
Thank you, and have a wonderful day!
Victoria
Customer Support Team
I then contacted them again and disputed their allegation that I was beyond my 30 day return window because I ordered on April 26, 2025 and I contacted them on May 21, 2025 for the refund and then I received this email.
Hi Brian,
Thank you for getting back to us.
When ordering Balance of Nature supplements, there are two ways of ordering: Subscribe & Save (preferred customer subscription) and Retail (One-Time Order). Since you elected to order the One-Time option, it does not include the benefits and perks of the Preferred Customer membership. One of those perks is the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.
Preferred Customers pay a $24.95 fee and enter into a subscription to accept the benefits of the money back guarantee and wholesale pricing. It would not be fair to them to give you a refund when you did not sign up as a member.
Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter.
Have a great day!
Steer clear of ordering this product and from doing business with this company. They are using deceptive business practices while promoting junk that does not work.

The absolute worst company and website I have ever used! I called to cancel my subscription, etc. all cs calls are outsourced out of the US. They couldn't find my account and were unable to delete it when they finally did. They are dishonest in the purchase you think you are buying 1x and they sign you up for subscription. It took an act of congress to cancel and I still have been unable to close out my account with these people. I will never buy from Balance of Nature again and refuse to support a company that state made in the Usa but the CS department is outsourced to anywhere but the US!!!

Balance of Nature claims that their supplements are as good as the natural fruits and vegetables that they are made from.
The scientific community does not entirely agree. Natural fruits and vegetables contain enzymes, nutrients and fiber that make them easily absorbed by the human body. The supplements are not as easily absorbed by the body and some of the nutritional value is lost.

Constantly under FDA court orders. Do not provide them with email as you'll be under permanent spam bombardment. Shameless and unethical.
From CBS News
A federal court ordered the brand Balance of Nature to stop producing and selling its dietary supplement products this week, after the Food and Drug Administration accused the two Utah-based companies behind it of repeatedly breaking the law in how they made and marketed their supplements.
The FDA says the company marketing Balance of Nature, Evig LLC, and its CEO Lex Howard had flouted years of federal warnings about overstepping limits in what they could claim about diseases their supplements could cure or prevent.
FDA's attorneys said they had little choice but to seek the new orders against the companies, after Balance of Nature had failed to address years of warnings that they had run afoul of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
"Defendants have a long history of failing to comply with the Act. FDA has documented a pattern of continued violative conduct during multiple inspections of Defendants' Establishment and have repeatedly warned Defendants that such conduct could lead to enforcement action," they wrote.

They play games with discounts. Sent me a 50% discount and it doesn’t work as advertised. I’m now feeling like their tactics are dishonest.

Got an initial order on Amazon and it seemed pretty good. However, had to subscribe to get more which I did. Apparently the post office is a long way from this company because it’s been nine days since I ordered and all that’s happened is a shipping label has been created. Funny, my postal carrier comes to my house every day - can’t believe UT doesn’t have that same service. The “free shipping” isn’t worth that much if it takes a month to get to me. On the bright side, I’ll get a comparison of having and not having the product. Not a good start to this relationship …

So many reasons for my one star if I could give them zero I would.
The first, for people reading my review for the benefit of taking this, is they did nothing for my husband and myself. A TOTAL WASTE OF $$. Maybe it's because my husband and I are active and eat pretty good to begin with. We also take a few Natural vitamins and minerals that are so much cheaper.
We took them everyday for 6 weeks and when we went off of them we also did not notice less energy or anything else. The only thing they did for me was gave me an upset stomach pretty often, gave me a lot of gas, and constipated me.
I notice, within a week, when I stop taking my daily vitamins and with these neither one of us noticed anything. The only thing we noticed was our pocketbook was $250 short and that was with a 50% off discount.
Second reason for poor review is their inadequate customer service. I went on their website to begin with and when I didn't buy at the 35% discount I was given a text which gave me a 50% discount so I thought what the heck let's try it. I attempted to buy 3 months worth for my husband and I which would have been six bottles of each. We were denied. They thought we were going to resell them. Well let me tell you six bottles isn't going to get us too far for trying to resell them, but I explained the reason why I was trying to buy six bottles of each and they denied me still.
They did not understand why I would want to buy 3 months' worth when the subscription would just keep them coming? Come on seriously? My 4th and 5th Grader would have been able to figure this out. People are just trying to take the full benefit of the discount, duh! Then because it took them more than 24 hours to get back to me on whether I'd be allowed to buy six bottles or not my 50% discount did not work. I had to use it within 24 hours. When I called them back and explained this to the girl, she told me I needed the promo code. I told her it was a text that just had a link to their website that's it. She couldn't get me the 50% off. I couldn't believe it. I honestly was dumbfounded. So I didn't buy anything.
Lo and behold a month later they contacted me and told me if I would want to buy them over the phone they would give me a 50% discount so I bought four bottles of each, the vegetable and fruit.
Finally, after I bought the 2 months supply for my husband and myself, the guy told me that my next shipment would go out in a month. I told him but I'm buying 2 months worth I don't want them to go out in a month. He actually told me that I had to call back and tell them to skip the first shipment. THEN I would have to call back and get the quantity from four down to two the following month when the shipment was due.
Unbelievable that you can't log into your account and handle your shipments yourself. I had to email them to ask them why I can't set up an account and he said just contact us with anything. This is 2024, I don't want to contact you every time I want to see the date of the next shipment, skip a shipment, change a quantity, or add something.
I read articles on Balance of Nature and I was alarmed they were given a warning about the items being mislabeled by the FDA. If these are so good why aren't these approved by the FDA? The best thing to do is eat a cup and a half of fruit and vegetables everyday or take a multivitamin that you can get for a much lower price.

I would not even give one star. This place is a joke...the service is a joke...i canceled my orders and my account and to do so, I got transferred 8 times to Mexico, the Philippians, Canada and India. I could not understand a word of what they said. The web site is a cheep remake of another web site . These people care about nothing but money and ways to keep it without giving you the product...if you sign up under FOX or any other offer you are a fool but, you heard it here first and other reviews confirm. Shut Balance of Nature down :( :( If there really is a customer service??? you should call me and ask me about this... moreover, you need to refund my accounts as you have sent me nothing. BON is in St. George Utah. we know everyone in St George and they don't operate this way.

My account was blocked and they accused me that I purchased close to $300 worth of supply for resell. All I did was just maximizing discount promo code that can be used only for the fist order. They blamed it to me that it was a misuse of promo code. YOU guys should think how to improve it then. Limit the QTY of products can be bought on first order with promo code. DON'T BLAME CUSTOMERS when the issue is your own poor management with your IT department. Remember everytime you block customers, you're LOSING future sales. Do you think it's a smart and wise move?
