What an absolute gem in St. George! Dixie Red Hills Golf Course is pure magic—playing here feels like stepping into a postcard with those incredible red rock backdrops, sandstone cliffs, and lush green fairways contrasting the desert landscape. As the original St. George course (since the 1960s), it has so much character: short, walkable holes (perfect for a quick 9), unique doglegs, risk-reward shots around boulders and trees, and greens that keep you on your toes. The course is always in fantastic shape—well-maintained, fast greens, and super affordable (great value for southern Utah!). Friendly staff, nice carts, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe make it ideal for beginners, locals, or anyone wanting a fun, scenic round before/after hitting Zion. The views alone are worth it—every hole is memorable and beautiful. If you're in the area, don't skip this classic—it's addictive and leaves you smiling! Highly recommend for all golfers!

I’ve played 5 courses so far in St George and this was was by far my favorite. Even though it’s only a 9 hole course the first three holes were stunningly beautiful.
I can’t wait to go back.

A beautiful 9-hole course tucked in and around the red rocks. Easy to walk and in great condition. Absolutely worth a stop, sure wish this was my local!

Nice course tucked into a small area. The rocks make for nice scenery and also act as hazards on some holes.

Very enjoyable time. They got us out onto the course in a timely manner. It was refreshing and relaxing and made new friends.

Beautiful place. Grounds are dry but we came in October. Staff not very friendly. Don't serve food or adult beverages. No ice, and pro shop is less than desirable. In other words, hardly the destination point. Visiting golf courses in a road trip and this will not make the recommendation list.

What’s the point in having your phone number posted on Google if you don’t answer when someone calls 4 times in a row? Also just came by to hit a bucket of balls, but you close the range at 4:45? Google says you’re open until 8. The grumpy old guy at the counter was such a pleasure to deal with too. Like why have a job at a golf course if you you’re going to be rude to the guests? Guess there are plenty of other places to play that have better customer service. I’ll never come back.

Excellent inside staff. Announcements for next on the first tee are clear and understandable. A small merchandise area. Clean restrooms and quick snacks and drinks available.
Course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes are set for all skill levels. Challenging layout in a confined area.
