The manager at the St George Airport Hertz is always super helpful and he is hilarious. He always remembers me and treats me like a vip.

Was a little nervous based on previous reviews, but all went smoothly. I picked up in the evening on October 17, the person that greeted was friendly and the process was quick. Was a little tricky finding the vehicle because they have two lots close together with the same numbering, but the employee came out to help me and I was on my way in no time. Only issue I really had was tire pressure being a little low and changing consistently throughout my trip, it’s the canyons with a lot of temperature and altitude fluctuations so I didn’t think much of it and had no actual problems with the vehicle. No problem coming in and out of Zion a couple times and then back to St George. Vehicle was very clean!
Drop off is easy after hours, just park in a Hertz spot, take the key inside and drop off in the box with a form you fill out (they have them next to the box, make sure you took a picture or know your drop off mileage). No odd charges, everything seems fine. Would rent from again

Booked through the Hertz app with a confirmed reservation, only to receive a call a few hours before arrival at SGU saying no cars were available. It’s hard to believe that in 2025, their system still allows customers to reserve vehicles that don’t exist. The agent who called offered no alternative or compensation. Very disappointing experience — I’ll be using Enterprise going forward.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. The manager has zero respect for women and talked so rudely to my friend an i and to the whole on the phone who i booked through. Just from this experience i will never book with this company again. I will always go to enterprise. Avoid at all costs.

Hertz at the Saint George Airport, gets no Stars,
Poor Customer Service, rented a car with power window problems, and they dismissed me as not knowing how to work a power window, didn't care or try to help. Won't ever rent from Hertz again and I have been a gold member for over 20 years. I'm, done. Good By Hertz.

Super easy return, make sure you fill up; $11/gal is not market rate fuel prices. But I knew better and had no extra fees. Thank you for not waiting more than 3 weeks to return the security deposit!!!!

⚠️ Danger and dishonest: Hertz (St Georges UT) gave us a car with tires well below the legal limit. We had a blowout on the road, with no help at the counter and poor by phone. At the San Francisco office (final destination), the manager claimed she couldn’t do anything since the car came from another agency and she had “no information.” Yet the employee in the parking lot who checked the car back in had all the details on his tablet. This contradiction makes Hertz appear dishonest, and clearly puts customers’ safety at risk.
We called several numbers they give us with no consideration/open contempt or offer of compensation.

My flight was delayed by 15 min. I arrived at 5:45 pm and hertz closed at 5:30. They had multiple reservations on this flight and they didn’t bother to wait. This is the worst customer no service. And there is nothing that they can do until 10:30 am tomorrow. As a gold member this is ridiculous.

The person at the front desk on Sep 5th 2025 11:30am has a very bad attitude, he is not helping at all on our rental car issue and just push our problems to someone else. Bad bad customer experience, he should be re-train if he don’t know how to response to Hertz’s customer properly

My friends and I were stuck in Utah after our car broke down on a road trip. Every rental agency was out of cars but Sam here at Hertz was able to work a miracle for us to get into a rental. Overall I am giving this Hertz a 5 star review for their exceptional customer service and ability to be understanding in our tough situation. Thank you Sam!

By far the absolute worst and bizarre customer experience. I am a gold member with +\\- 50 days in last year. I normally just go straight and pick up my car. The manager on duty asked for my Id and then claimed something was wrong when he scanned it. Mind you I just flew in with that ID scanned by TSA. They usually don’t even do this. He diffused to give my the car that I had already prepaid for through Hertz application. I called Hertz corporate and got them on phone. They said there was no reason he should t rent car and were just as baffled. Still he refused to give me car and he called security. Security now just as baffled had no idea what to do. One of the security officers called enterprise in town and they had cars. Security officer gave me a ride in his own car. I guess I’ll take my business there since Hertz prefers rogue desk managers. No one should ever rent from St. George Hertz.

had a fantastic experience with Hertz! The reservation process was quick and easy, and the staff at the pickup location were friendly, efficient, and helpful. The car was clean, well maintained, and exactly what I booked.

While traveling with my kids, the tire on our rental car popped. I contacted Hertz, and they assured me we’d receive a replacement vehicle at no cost. They arranged for the car to be towed to the nearest location at the St. George Airport and even ordered a Lyft for us, clearly stating we wouldn’t be charged.
While we were already in the Lyft they scheduled, they called us back and said we would be charged for the ride — and even worse, that they had no replacement car available. When we got to the Hertz counter at the airport, the customer service was horrible. The staff was rude, showed no empathy, and made no effort to help us find a solution. We were stranded in the rain with my kids crying — it was an incredibly stressful situation, and Hertz completely abandoned us.
To top it all off, even though the hertz agent over the phone said everything would be covered, I was charged for both the Uber and the tire repair.
We ended up having to back track 20 mins to an Enterprise location on our own, and the difference was night and day. The Enterprise team was kind, professional, and got us into a new car immediately. The transaction was smooth and stress-free — everything Hertz failed to provide.
After years of renting from Hertz, this experience was the final straw. They failed us when we needed help the most. I will never rent from Hertz again.
