I would give negative review if I could. Horrible Costomer service. Closes at 10:30 and opens at 10:30, hours are trash. No explanation on there policies! The two dudes who were working the desk are very rude!

This location isn’t even here anymore. We checked and were told they moved. Update your company listing.

I will never rent from Hertz again. They charged me for the rental twice, then took months to return the money (hundreds of dollars) I overpaid despite multiple disputes and promises on their behalf to right the overcharge. It was only given back to me when I filed a dispute through my credit card. As far as I'm concerned, that's attempted theft.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ IN THE ST GEORGE AREA.
Terrible experience both here and later at the airport location. The employee called my wife several days before our rental to aggressively question our arrival time and unnecessarily verify her employer discount (something no other Hertz location has ever done).
On rental day, we were delayed by an hour due to having a child—typically no issue during regular business hours. Yet this employee called us three times within 10 minutes of our scheduled pickup to rudely inform us he’d be temporarily closing and would not accommodate us at 11:00 am on a Friday.
Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional treatment.
Hertz corporate needs to do something about these locations.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This was the most frustrating and dishonest rental car experience of my life. First off, they never even told us their policies upfront, so we showed up thinking everything was good to go—only to find out they wouldn’t give us the car we RESERVED AND PAID FOR. Instead, they tried to push some junky, downgraded car on us like we wouldn’t notice the difference.
To make things worse, they charged me extra FOR NO REASON. No explanation, no breakdown, just an extra fee tacked on like I wouldn’t check my receipt. When I asked about it, the staff was rude and unhelpful, acting like I was the problem for questioning why I was being overcharged.
DO NOT rent from this place unless you enjoy wasting your money and getting treated like an idiot. Never again.

Worst customer service experience. Aggressive and rude. Refused to be helpful. Our Hertz rental car had broken down then couldn’t accelerate more than 10mph. We got to this location with our hazard lights on per customer service phone line recommendation. This man said the call back the customer service line and that he didn’t have cars. He would not help.

Be sure you understand that any additional insurance options offered are charged daily. There was no effort on the part of the gentleman that helped us to ensure that we understood that the rental insurance would be charged daily before signing. Had I known and taken the time to closely review the receipt, I would not have taken it ... turned a $230 rental for 7 days into a $600 rental. Common courtesy to re-iterate the costs and ensure my understanding would have been nice since I don't rent cars very often. He just went through the motions to get his money and get me out of there. Just not a very cordial or complementary experience.

Incompetent Manager's Special: we specifically needed car to go to Flagstaff and were offered the manager's special. Any car that would get us there would be fine. Manager picked an electric vehicle with a range of <200 miles. There are no charging stations between Kanab and Flagstaff, a distance greater than 200 miles. When we pointed this out, manager said we could charge it in Salt Lake (wrong direction 300 miles) or Las Vegas (wrong direction 120 miles) and it wasn't his problem. Refused to pick a vehicle that could actually go to Flagstaff without charging us another $150.
What an unhelpful an incompetent mean person!

If I could give a zero I would!!! Had a reservation, that they canceled without telling me. We were out camping and our ride to the rental place was late and so we arrived at noon our reservation was for 10. There was no one there, I called and the guy I spoke to was way beyond rude!! In none of the emails I received did I get a notice they had an hour window policy and if they did fine but he could have been kind and he was so far from it! Thank heavens enterprise had something!! But not cool to leave someone stranded!!

Car was just fine. Absolutely no issues with the vehicle. But I mistakenly rented from the Bluff Road location and not the St. George, Utah airport. I chose the first option that popped up in the hertz app once I knew I was headed to St. George. So to my surprise when landing in St. George, the gentleman at the hertz rental counter informed me I rented from the downtown location and not the airport once I showed him my confirmation. My bad. I told him I’d get an Uber and go get that vehicle from the Bluff Road location ($50 Uber). I then asked if I could change the drop off to the airport after my week stay. He said “no problem”. He said they even had to bring the vehicle I was renting to the Bluff Road location because of the rental order (my rental). He went as far to say “easier for me, so I don’t have to go get it”.
Fast forward to a few days after my rental started. I called Hertz corporate to change drop off location. No big deal. I’ve done this before. They could do it. But it would cost me over $250 extra (original rental cost about $470 for the week). So I said no thanks, I’ll call the Bluff Road location directly, because the airport Hertz employee told me the vehicle I was renting came from the airport already. Figured I was saving them a trip (and time/money). The gentleman on the phone at the Bluff Road location indicated there was a fee to change the location of the drop off and that Hertz “never” waives the change of location fee. Same line as Hertz corporate. I explained to him I was kinda doing him a favor, as this vehicle was supposedly going back to the airport (as indicated by the Hertz airport location employee). I again tried to explain that in the past month I have changed drop off locations for rentals both in Casper, Wyoming and Providence, Rhode Island (with absolutely no hassle or fee). I rent from Hertz all the time for work, as the Five Star program allows me to fly in, jump in a car, and go. Unlike other car rental companies that try to be your buddy and ultimately try upselling. The older I get, the less I want to deal with people on commission.
I was just surprised by the lack of customer service, especially as someone who rents a few thousand dollars worth of cars per year. This experience alone makes me think screw it, I’m going to rent through Costco from now on and just deal with whatever company is the cheapest as loyalty doesn’t really mean much anymore.

This is the worst rental company I’ve ever rented a car from. We are on holiday and during heavy weather a big rock fell from the mountain onto our window while we were driving thru Oak Creek Canyon just after Sedona.
We have called Hertz multiple times but have gotten zero support since. The last time we called we got send to this location (we have been driving for a week with this frontscreen right now). They didn’t know if a repair or replacement was possible because they don’t contact other shops, which I find very strange. On the door it says 8:00 am - 16:00 pm. When we got here there was no one to be found. Also when we called them, they refused to come to the shop. They told us to just leave because they couldn’t help us. We are actually driving with a damaged car and they haven’t even suggested to take a look at it. We have suggested to send photo’s because I can imaging people don’t get the severeness of the situation just by hearing from it, but we couldn’t send any because ‘they can’t receive them’. For a company this big I would imagine that customer support is the most important factor. Please for your own and your family’s safety, don’t rent a car at Hertz, it’s just not worth it.

I came in with a problem with a Hertz rental car. The employee was rude and didn't take time to address the problem. The blame was placed directly on us as tenants and after about 30 seconds we were directed to Salt Lake City or Las Vegas (both about a 2 hour drive away).

Jonathan helped us out in renting a car for over a week. He was very professional and personable. He went above and beyond to make us happy.
