My wife and I had an amazing experience working with Scott Gibson and his team at InterCap Lending in St George. It’s no secret that the housing market has been crazy over the past year plus. When my wife and I found our soon to be home, we put in an offer right away, and to be as competitive as possible we offered to close in 30 days — not an easy task to close on a jumbo loan with both my wife and I being self employed in such a quick time frame. From the start Scott set the expectations and told us he and his team could make it work if we were responsive in providing all of the financials and other deliverables that they needed. His team was on top of it and let us know when additional paperwork/signatures were needed. Sure enough, we were ready to close about 26 days from the date we submitted our offer.I would feel completely confident using Scott and InterCap again and/or recommending them to friends and family!Thanks Scott!

They get 2 stars instead of 1 because they did actually get the loan done, but I feel as though they have some less than stellar business practices. Specifically, after we locked the rate they tried to tell us pricing changed. They also tried to tell us the “points” calculation to buy the rate down was based on the purchase price and not the mortgage amount (we had a significant down payment so this made a big difference). I called them out on both and threatened to go use a different bank when they came clean and honored what was agreed to. It was an attempt on their part to try and make more money and no doubt a less savvy borrower would have fallen for it.In addition to their poor business practices outlined above, the loan officer was rude and condescending. She spoke to me as if I was a 6 year old child. They do have an app that seems pretty slick, but it seemingly notifies you of things prematurely and the loan officer isn’t always in agreement with the loan status the app provides. The processor was a rock star - she gets 5 stars. Overall: Would not recommend.

Intercap Lending did an amazing job with our loan, Geralann and her team were very professional, informative, and so helpful. We had a fantastic experience!! They went above and beyond and we could not have been happier. Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone!!!
