When given the opportunity, I always speak very highly of Jen & Chad’s program at Lifestyle Fitness Camp.I have found Jen to be highly knowledgeable as a fitness coach and nutrition consultant and her gentle guidance to be extremely effective, especially when compared to other diet and fitness programs that I’ve participated in. The daily hikes that Chad leads make the whole program fun and the magnificent vistas the hikes traverse make the experience genuinely spiritually renewing. As a person who has had somewhat debilitating rheumatoid arthritis for the past 20 years, I especially appreciate Jen & Chan’s willingness to tailor their instruction to be age and fitness-level appropriate for the program participants. That, and their friendly, upbeat and encouraging manner makes it easy to remain engaged in their program. Additionally, Jen is very conscientious in providing her participants with dietary plans and exercise routines that they may take home at the conclusion of the program. This past month, I was able to complete a 7 day, 60 mile self-guided backpacking trip in Colorado’s Weminuche Wilderness in the southern San Juan mountains. This trip involved hiking and camping above 10,000’ for much of the trip and carrying a heavy pack more than 12,000’ vertical feet in ascent over 3 high passes. This is the kind of physical activity I haven’t done since my teens and I could never have accomplished this as a 65-year-old with out the fitness training Jen & Chad provided to me over the past 4 years.I have no hesitancy in recommending the Lifestyle program to my friends and acquaintances or to anyone interested in changing their life through renewed fitness.

Results made my doctor happy ! I stayed a total of 6 weeks over the winter. Lost some weight, learned some good habits, enjoyed a lot of scenic hikes, met some interesting people. Just got the results from my yearly exam, cholesterol down, HLD up, everything the right direction, and doctor very happy.

What an amazing experience. The owners/trainers Chad and Jen are top notch and so good at what they do. They do seem to care about their clients success. The property is very nice and the fitness center is just a 2 minute walk away from the lodgings and it is top notch as well. The daily hikes are out of this world. If you are looking for a great affordable health retreat in a beautiful area, this is it.My 4 star rating would be 4.5 if I could. I can't give 5 stars though. This has nothing to do with the program itself and more to do with some "housekeeping" issues. It was loud in the house late at night. They have a noise curfew in the house rules, but it wasn't followed or enforced. I was constantly woken up by other guests who were up late watching movies (loudly), playing cards or just not being very courteous. We had hikes at 7am and earlier. I'd find myself woken up well after midnight more times than I can count. The kitchen was a bit unorganized with so many people coming and going. Primarily the refrigerator. A lot of expired food and food from previous guests that needed to be dealt with. Everything was jammed in. Myself and another guest spent almost an hour one day trying to organize the main refrigerator. Guests do their own cooking (they buy the food) which was great, but also was not a very smooth process sometimes because of the abundance of "mystery" food products. I know that this fitness camp is one of the more reasonable ones in terms of price, but we still were paying a lot. We shouldn't have had to do housekeeping like that. Same with the trash. I don't think we should've been made to take out the garbage when it was overflowing in the bins inside. They might consider getting a house attendant just for a few hours a week at most to check on these things. It was a little disappointing that at the end of the stay, there was no kind of exit interview or even a proper goodbye. No review of progress made or strategies for the future. You checkout on Saturday at noon, when just the house cleaners are there. Everyone leaves for the house cleaners so whoever is checking out is there alone. At least that's what I experienced in my one month stay.I'd still go again if I were financially able.I'd just bring ear plugs and a loud fan.And I still think its an amazing program.

Jenn and Chad are amazing, I always tell everyone what a life changing experience this was for me. If you are on the fence, just go!! WOW! Just WOW! I wish I could give Jen and Chad 10 stars, because 5 is not enough. It's not an easy program but they make it so 'do able' and comfortable. They are with you every step of the way and it actually becomes fun. The camaraderie, cheerleading and positivity in this environment sets everyone up for success. I miss them already and hope to be back one day for a 'tune up'!!!

I arrived at Lifestyle Fitness on January 17, 2022. In 46 days, I lost 46 pounds and 7 inches off my waist. I’ll turn 65 this year and still love to long distance hike/backpack. The morning hikes with Chad were always to incredibly beautiful places. On Fridays, we would go to Zion National Park. I look forward to future long distance hikes at my lower body weight. The two daily workouts with Jen (Monday-Thursday) were hard but always enjoyable. Especially when we finished. I generally arrived early or stayed late at every workout to do more cardio. I was super focused on my daily calorie burn which was easily tracked on my Apple Watch.I tracked every calorie consumed in a Noom app. At the end of each day, I’d compute my daily calorie deficit. 137,657 in 46 days. At 46 pounds lost, that comes to 2,993 calories per pound. That’s my number. I trust the process.I’m beyond happy with the weight loss, but more importantly I’m confident on continuing to lose on my own. The process is simple, you just have to trust it completely no matter what the daily weight number may be.Jen and Chad genuinely care about each persons results and are so encouraging. This has added healthy years to my life. I fully recommend Lifestyle Fitness to anyone that wants to live a healthier longer life.

I needed to change my thinking to support my body and my Self, but I didn’t know how or where to start. So I researched and read reviews, and chose Lifestyle Fitness Camp in Saint George, Utah. It’s truly a place to heal Body and Soul.My weeks with Jen, Chad and the others at the camp were the best experiences in my recent life.Chad started us early with morning hikes over the mountains; the sun peeking up over the ridgesettled my soul and I was thankful. He walked at our pace, discussed Utah history, and its people and wildlife. Just when I thought I couldn’t take one more step upwards, we were at a peak, the sun had risen, and we had the whole world at our feet. Breathtaking. Also for my body, we worked in the fitness arena mornings and afternoons, swam in the pool, and learned about nutrition. Jen was with us the entire time— teaching and encouraging.I slept beautifully at night, and I’m grateful to the people I met and the beautiful Utah weather. When I return home to Iowa, my doctor visit showed that my blood pressure had fallen, and my BMI and cholesterol levels had improved greatly. That’s something I can live with.

Jen and Chad Bullen are top-notch professionals. Their program is designed to assist in making lifestyle changes, not just for near-term results but for lifetime results. They are compassionate, caring and truly professional. I cannot say enough positive things about this program. I looked at numerous fitness programs and I'm so glad I chose this one. Utah is beautiful, the hikes are a combination of scenic wonder and physical challenge. The fitness center is excellent and the accommodations are great. Hands down an excellent overall fitness and lifestyle program.

I recently spent four weeks at Lifestyle Fitness Camp and had an excellent experience. My favorite part of the experience was our daily morning hikes around St. George and going to Zion for hikes every Friday. The owners, Jen and Chad, are wonderful. Although I hate working out in the gym, Jen made the experience better than I thought possible. This fitness camp exceeded my expectations in every way and I am so happy that I chose LifeStyle Fitness.

Jennifer and Chad Bullen’s Lifestyle Fitness Camp program in St. George, UT is designed to make long-term changes to your eating habits while emphasizing the importance of staying active. Rather than relying on “special” diets, the program allows you to eat anything you want as long as you do not exceed your daily calorie goals. The day’s activities ensure the calories you burn far exceed the calories you consume. On the first day, a visit to the local wellness clinic determined my body composition and resting metabolic rate. I learned I burned about 2,600 calories a day without exercise. Therefore, in order to lose weight, I set me daily calorie goal at 2,000.Jennifer worked with me “one-on-one” to develop a personal meal plan within my calorie budget. I was free to choose whatever foods I wanted. Afterwards, she shopped and brought the groceries to the house. At the house, I had everything I needed to prepare my own meals. Jennifer was even available to work with me as needed. While other programs I researched offered prepared meals, I felt it was very important for my success in the long run to learn to plan and prepare my own meals.I was pleasantly surprised to learn how easy it was to keep track of my calories using the free “myfitnesspal” app. I could enter most foods by just scanning the bar code. Other foods, I determined referencing the database. Each day, Monday through Friday, Chad led us on an early morning hike ranging from 3.5 to 6 miles in length. Monday through Thursday, we hiked in the local area. For the Friday hike, we traveled further afield to Zion National Park. I thoroughly enjoyed the hikes. Each day, Monday through Thursday, Jennifer led us in two, 1-hour, workout sessions at the nearby, very well equipped, Summit Athletic Club. Monday and Thursday focused on the upper body. Tuesday focused on core strength. Wednesday focused on the lower body. I thoroughly enjoyed the workouts. At the end of three weeks, I lost 3% body fat. On average, I burned between 4,000 to 4,500 calories a day. I had no problem staying within my 2,000 calorie per day goal. In fact, I never really felt hungry or that I was depriving myself of something I craved.More important than my short-term success, I believe I left the program with the ability to succeed in the long-term. I now know how to ensure that the calories I consume do not exceed the calories my body burns in a day. With that knowledge (and a little self-discipline), I can lose the weight I want to lose. Afterwards, I am confident I can maintain a healthy weight.

Hey so I stayed here for about two months and I’d give it a 3/5 because the videos on the website and just the name of this establishment is misleading. For starters it’s not really a resort it’s a 5 bedroom home with a gym in walking distance. So no there’s no a pool nor gym on the same property even thPugh it may look like it and when you go work out the gyms have people it’s not empty like the pictures or videos. The daily schedule was a 2-6 mile hike at 6:30am then a gym workout with a trainer at 11am and then another one at 2pm. The house has no supervision so if you want to cheat on your diet and go to Popeyes everyday you could and there’s no real structure when it comes to dieting so if you don’t know what healthy food is or don’t really know how to cook then get ready to learn because there’s little to no guidance on what you should eat and you MUST prepare all your meals or you will starve. But if you stick to your plan then the excitement at your exit consultation will be well worth the money you spent to come here but it’s no fancy some rooms don’t have tv’s some bathrooms don’t have rugs just little things you would expect paying upwards of 2 grand a week so to conclude this your experience won’t be what you expect if you’re expecting at big giant compound with a pool and private gym...

I am excited to write a review about my journey losing weight. Like many of overweight (fat) people. I say fat because I was hiding behind the 'Big Guy' image. I had to come to grips with reality after looking in the mirror one day. Anyway I have struggled with weight my entire life since graduating high school. I tried every diet know to man and was an expert at all of them. But I believe they were just created for others to make money off of people like me. I never learned anything and always regained the weight and more. I have had a shoulder, back and heart surgery. I was borderline diabetic with a blood glucose level of 110 to 117 after waking in the morning. Everything changed in June of 2019 when I arrived at Lifestyle Fitness in St. George Utah. Chad and Jen Bullen are the owners and were the reason I'm half the man I used to be. Honestly it was hard work for me especially because of my back pain. But I told myself and Jen who was constantly concerned about the pain I was in that I'm always in pain I might as well be in pain trying to get better. What they taught me has completely changed my life. My wife and I keep a photo journal of my road to fitness and we both are shocked at the difference. I wish I could convince others I know to do this but I guess we all have our light bulb moments. I have lost 50 pounds and still losing. I don't worry about the scales ups and downs and I have learned to trust what Jen calls the process. My blood sugar was 88 last week. I'm going to talk with my doc about stopping my blood pressure meds because its getting to low. My hats and shoes don't even fit anymore! I was a size 42 pants and know my 34's are getting loose! Please stop drinking the diet Kool-Aid and make a permanent change in your life! Lifestyle Fitness saved my life! Chad next time I see you I will race you up that hill! My trip to Lifestyle Fitness Camp in 2019 was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Jenn & Chad are honest, kind, super intelligent and so personable. They made me feel so welcome and taught me so much to continue the work at home. I researched other fitness camps before deciding on Lifestyle Fitness Camp and what really sealed the deal for me was their small class size, the fact that the state of the art gym is located literally a few steps away from the house I would be staying in and that I would have access to it during the entire length of my stay, the beauty of all the challenging hiking in Utah, the fact that I had to cook for myself to increase the likelihood of long-term success, the price you pay includes everything except airfare (even the roundtrip transportation to and from airport was covered), the body composition testing, and the new sneakers from a running store which took into consideration the way my feet naturally turn inward when i walk! No other camp seemed to be offering so much. I didn't want to be at a very large fitness camp where I would be lost in the crowd. I loved having the freedom to stay at the gym as I pleased after our group classes to use the equipment. The body composition testing done was so eye opening for me as I had never had my body fat percentage, lean body mass or REE measured before. Having this information has really helped to continue on my journey to get stronger and more fit. Jen helped me realize the importance of resistance training to increase my muscle mass and HIIT so I exercise smarter. She taught me the importance of counting my calories and how to easily track them so I am accountable for what I am eating. We chose a safe calorie target below my REE. Everything she recommended for me in terms of meal planning and exercise she took into consideration my schedule and we came up with a plan that I felt would be sustainable for me once I left the camp. She recommended great products to me that I am able to use during my break time at work (resistance bands) to continue strength training. Chad was so accommodating and coordinated the best hikes for me to get a wonderful workout with breathtaking views during my week stay. He even took me on a early morning hike prior to the morning hike with the whole group so I wouldn't miss one particular short yet challenging Tower hike. I was only at Lifestyle Fitness Camp for 1 week this past summer but the benefits of going continue to this day! Not to mention the amazing people that were there during my stay! My friends at the house went out of their way to help ensure that I saw what they felt were the best hikes they completed. There is a wonderful comradery that develops amongst people that previously didn't know each other but are working towards the same goal! During my 1 week stay, my weight dropped 1 pound and I lost a total of 3 inches overall. Since then, I have lost another 16 pounds and an additional 9.25 inches overall! Just for reference my starting BMI was in the overweight category and my starting body fat percentage was in the risky high body fat level of greater than 40 percent. I am looking forward to another stay at Lifestyle Fitness Camp summer of 2020. This time I am bringing my husband with me. FYI, Jen doesn't disappear after you leave the camp. We have kept in touch and she has been so helpful and encouraging even after my stay. Best of luck in your health and wellness journey.

This was the kind of experience I was looking for! Chad and Jen are great people. They are attentive to each individual’s needs, always available and knowledgeable. We had great outdoor hikes with Chad and super workouts with Jen in the gym. Our house had wonderful personalities with lots of encouragement and teamwork in our cooking. Using and getting used to The MyFitnessPal app helps transition to being at home, so I am glad I was not “fed”, but had to work on how to plan and make meals. I cried leaving these wonderful people, and I hope to go back again. Great program to reboot, and get a boost on a lifetime program.
