Went there for meat and the packaged hamburger was the 12th and the expired date was the 12th. The checker was rather blah. No greeting. Just gave the impression that he would rather be somewhere else. This was my first visit and will be my last. There are
other stores I can spend my money at.

So bummed that this store turned out to be not so great. I wanted to move away from Smith's up the street because it is so crowded and the people are incredibly rude but I at least knew the products I was getting were fresh or, at the very least, within expiration dates.
Yes, I check dates on most products, milk/dairy, meat etc...but not so much on canned or boxed goods. When I got home and opened some nutrition bars they were hard-ish so I checked the box and sure enough they had expired 4 months prior (Aug. 2024). Then I went to the next box of Keto bars and they would be expiring this month. So yeah, not so fresh.
Looking forward to Sprouts on River Road soon...

****SORRY, I MUST edit my review (the original is below for you to read if you'd like). However, I have an updated review.
Before you start reading and asking questions like: "Who were these individuals? What did they look like?" Why? Because Lin's can look it up for themselves. This happened at roughly 6:50pm, Nov. 17th.
We were specifically shopping for Pepsi, and what do you know?! The BIGGEST display as I walked in the store was for the 24 "cube" pack of Pepsi! The price was terrific, too! However, the fine print says I'd only get this deal if I had a "digital" coupon. Firstly, I have NEVER done "digital" coupons (or even the like!) at a store. Second, I absolutely HATE games these stores play. If you want to give us, the shopper, a deal, then bloody give us the deal!
Regardless, it was a $4 savings, so I ask a person with a Lin's nametag, "What do I have to do to get this "digital" coupon?
Person: Do you have a phone number with us?
Me. No
Person: Are you sure?
Me: (trying to not get annoyed that the person ignored my answer)
This next part, I'm not sure who initiated it, but we came to the conclusion that I needed the Lin's app to get the bloody coupon.
So, I walk away to find the person I came into the store with AND SIMULTANEOUSLY downloading the app. (which I can tell you is VERY annoying--it had only 3 stars btw!).
When we get back to the checkout, I try to ring up our stuff, but that machine freezes, and does not have a blinking light to show we needed help--the screen literally was frozen no matter where I touched it. I wave for 1 of the 2 people/helpers to come over (they had been standing next to each other the whole time I saw them in the store).
Clearly, the person was annoyed that I'd waved for help (but again, there's no blinking light, no way to get their attention other than waving---Person comes over, I ask if I hit cancel (and I use the credit card machine, and click the Red X).
It unlocks the screen! So the person starts walking away, and I say, "Do I need to scan all the items again?" but the person looks as lost as I felt.
Anyway, it took SEVERAL, LONG, MOMENTS of going between customer service and the "helpers" who kept TSKing and sighing when I motioned them over to help.
When I entered the store, see the exact product of what I wanted (on sale!!!), and asked the person standing at the checkout (NOT busy with anyone else....I didn't butt into anything going on), "How can I get this "coupon" for this Pepsi?" Why on EARTH (especially when there are TWO of you just standing there) was it so hard, to say, "I'll help you with that!" I'm in my fat-fifties, gray hair, by co-shopper in his stick-like 60s, barely any wisps of hair left!--Is it that difficult to assess the situation and help?
First off, I "LOVE" Lin's Market! It's been the best in St. George from the get-go (back when it was on Bluff Street!) Anyway, even though they have a SMALL selection of fresh vegetables and even smaller selection of fruit, the quality is good. 4/5. However, you are gonna PAY extra for it. Like 50% more than WallyWorld (tho their quality is hit and miss!). The environment at Lin's is CLEAN! And, the aisle are always UNCLUTTERED!!! They are MAGICIANS at that (whereas Smith's, but especially WALLYWORLD seem to ALWAYS have crowded aisles OF RE-STOCKING CARTS and STOCK-PEOPLE!). It really gets annoying at Walmart. Probably the worst part of this Lin's is their associations with the Dairy Queen. HO-LEE-SHIZZ! Not joking, but this HAS to be the WORST branch/store/restaurant(loosely) of Dairy Queen in the ENTIRE UNITED STATES! The final nice thing about Lin's is it's very limited number of what I call "Pricing Games." You know, these chips are $7.99/bag, B

Not as cheap as say a Walmart but the selections are huge.

I love the convenience of having this store so close to my home. They provide great service and selection. However, going shopping when the school that is close by is out for lunch, is a big problem. The kids race around in the parking lot on their electric scooter, and they all hang out near the front door and block the entrance. I hope the manager can do something about this issue. I almost hit one of the kids on a scooter today.
