We love RSQ! We have had the privilege of having two hospice dogs through them, as well as adopting two Corgis from them. They’re the best!

Wanted to adopt. They make you jump through a lot of hoops. I get it its for the dogs best interest but they go a little overboard. Dont think I want to deal with all they ask. I feel like they are judging me my family, my dog and my house.

RSQ is a place full of heart and hope. While I’m here in STG, every Thursday, I look forward to their open house where I get to spend time with the animals; showing them love, giving them attention, and seeing firsthand the incredible care they receive. It’s not just about adopting out pets (though they do that beautifully), it’s about building a community of compassion and second chances.
What I love most about RSQ is their mission. They’re deeply community-minded, working tirelessly to rescue animals in need and create a better life for them. The volunteers are welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can feel that energy the moment you walk in.
St. George is lucky to have an organization like RSQ. Whether you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or just support a great cause, this is a place that makes a real difference.

A fantastic rescue and the animals are so well cared for and loved. We have adopted a dog from here and also
Volunteered here. It’s a great place to volunteer and they truly want the best for their animals. The volunteers do everything they can for these pups and kitties!!!

I love the volunteers here. We adopted our sweet boy about a month ago. He's the friendliest dog ever and gets along well with our other dog. There weekly yard sale is awesome and you can find great stuff in great condition, plus all the funds go directly to the animals!

This is the nicest shelter I've ever seen. It's run completely by volunteers and donations, and the staff is phenomenal. The animals receive top-notch care, and they get a wonderful environment. It's sparkling clean! I admire these people from the bottom of my heart. If I were an abandoned animal, this shelter would be Paradise to me! The staff works so hard to accommodate people - these folks really are the BEST. I recommend checking out their yard sales on Saturdays...that's a big source of their funding. I look forward to donating to this shelter in any capacity I can. These people are absolute saints. UPDATE: We completed the adoption of a new dog. We already had a dog, and Mason and the other staff members were so helpful in getting the two dogs acquainted and making sure they'd be happy together. You cannot go wrong with this wonderful group of people...their goal is for everybody to win!!

Always have had the best experiences visiting and working with RSQ. They fast tracked our first adoption because my son bonded so quickly with his dog and we are now looking forward to a second adoption, a cat. So glad we have been able to work with and support what they are doing :)

These folks seems to be fairly good at collecting animals and taking care of them. However, they have zero intentions of actually letting anyone from the community adopt one of them. We inquired two different times with them to adopt a cat. The first time they did actually call and tell us that we didn't qualify. No reason was given. This was upsetting, as we're very qualified, from our perspective. We've been cat parents and have been caring for our cats for many many years. I cannot figure out what the main factor is for letting you adopt an animal, but it's certainly not that you'll provide a good home for them, it's obviously something else. It would be nice if they just come out with it and tell everyone what exactly their bias is, then the the rest of us could stop wasting our time. Like are we supposed to be LDS? and a certain color or what? Nobody knows. What is known is this agencies long standing unwillingness to let people adopt a pet from them.
The second time, that I applied, they just didn't even bother to respond. Eventually, we adopted an awesome kitty from Best Friends in Kanab, UT. He's now living his best life and the poor kitties at RSQ are still in jail, probably forever.
All the other animal shelters in the area have heard the stories from people that aren't allowed to adopt from RSQ. I hope they become a little more transparent and tell the world exactly what the hell they expect or perhaps actually start letting these animals have a home.

Over the course of two months, I had some of the most amazing rescue interactions I’ve ever had. Every volunteer I met was very obviously dedicated to what they do. Mason and Arlene were both so helpful in getting to know and help me adopt Chance, a 10 month old puppy. Though they mainly rely on donations, they made sure to set me and Chance up for success with many provided dog necessities at the time of adoption. I will recommend RSQ to anyone ready to add another furry family member! Here’s our boy we adopted ♥️🐾

We, as a Young Women group, sewed bandanas for the animals on Wed, and then we went on Thursday to deliver them.
The animals were a treat. The dogs were very playful.

The staff/volunteers at RSQ are so nice and helpful! While we didn't end up adopting from them, they were so nice in consistently reaching out to us to help us find the best dog for us! If you are unsure if a particular dog is right for you they will let you foster them and take as much time as you need to decide if you want to adopt. This was really helpful for my husband and I as we are first-time dog owners and we were also worried about my husband's pet allergies.

Awesome group of people helping rescue abandoned dogs in southern Utah and northern Arizona!
