Young heavyset tattooed female worker in the meat department. Called my mother stupid because my mother received a coupon for lean pork. Note it was not for this location. But it was very poor customer service and not how you should treat customers. Speaking as a retail worker myself.
And we will no longer be shopping here.

Batteries on handicapped carts.
Wore out. Even when you get a plugged in one, you're lucky if you can make one round of the store and get to the car. Digital deals what a joke disabled.
Get home to find out they didn't get the digital discounts too damn complicated.

Absolutely awful company. I'm embarrassed for them. I've been going here consistently for the past 4 years. It has been known, that if you have a Smith's card you automatically get the deals. Now they are jacking up the prices and forcing people to use their stupid app that literally DOES NOT WORK! They are doing this and it takes advantage of people that are mentally disabled or don't have the time to wait for employee help. They are preying on the weak to put money in their pockets. What a disgraceful company.

I have massive concerns about the story policy regarding "digital coupons". On multiple occasions I have had to leave behind something I wanted to buy because of this policy. First and foremost, my knees hurt. I have to bend down and hold a painful position to scan the QR code. Then I have to use a site that doesn't work half the time. Stand there like an idiot while my cold food gets warm. Once I finally get logged in the app has forgotten the original QR code so I have to bend down and hurt my knees AGAIN. Only to find out that after scanning multiple times I am just given error code after error code. So even though I went through this whole process my item is marked up 200%. I find this process extremely predatory: "jump through these hoops for us or we charge you more". What if I was elderly, incapable of using technology, or just plain not in ownership of a phone. Belong to one of these groups and kroger gets to charge you 200% more. I am already a rewards member and have been loyally shopping at smiths for 5 years now. I am about to quit and go to harmons instead because of this PREDATORY BEHAVIOUR.
NOT TO MENTION
The last 3 months I have gone to shop there, the meat has been SPOILED and YELLOW. Completely inedible and full of sickness. DISGUSTING. The health department needs to look at this place.

Bought $35 worth of steaks. Flavorless and tough as leather. Talked to Christine the "manager" about possibly getting it sorted out. She said she could exchange them?? They've been cooked and tossed out by this point, and why would I want more bad steaks.
Just explained to Christine that it's not good business, and one unhappy customer just leads to 30 others through the grapevine. She didn't care what-so-ever, just kept replying "okay" and rushing me off the phone.
