I have a billing issue I’ve been working on since April of 2023. After 6 months of applying over and over again and not being given any clear instructions,I have been awarded financial aid. Now, I have had attempted to submit this financial aid multiple times. I can’t get a clear answer.I just want it applied so I can pay my bill. I’m not avoiding paying. I just want it to be over with. But they for some reason can’t apply my financial aid correctly.I never even received specific instructions on what was needed until October 2023. 6-7 months after my initial visit. My medical issues are mental issues with depression and anxiety. This situation has just about driven me to the edge. Now I’m having other medical issues and I’m terrified to go to the doctor because of how much of a nightmare this has been.I’m considering quitting my job and leaving Utah because I am unable to get the care I need here.I have called constantly, sometimes every week, to get this handled.Look, I just need my financial aid applied to my account, so I can pay my bill. I WANT TO PAY IT.Now I’ve been threatened with sending this bill to collections because IHC can’t figure out how to apply my financial aid.So I add a card to my billing. They just start auto billing me without my financial aid being applied. So they can figure out how to charge me $250/month, but they can’t figure out how to apply the finance aid I’ve already been awarded.I don’t need a payment plan. I just need the financial aid applied. Then I’ll pay in full. This should seriously be a 15 minute phone conversation and be done.I spoke to a manager at the hospital after countless calls to IHC. He assured me it was straightened out and I’d get my letter in 2 weeks. I got the letter, and it was AGAIN applied to the incorrect service date. Now I’m having internal issues. I probably need to go to a doctor, but I refuse to go because of my billing issues I’ve had with these 2 incidents last year.I need medical help, but IHC is causing so much mental strain and stress and anxiety I just want it to be over.Idk what to do anymore.

This hospital has the most caring staff. From the doctors all the way down to the house keepers. They treat you with love and respect. They are very professional. They are very friendly, like they like their job. Every procedure was painless and they always put my mind at ease. This is the best hospital I have ever been to!

The staff at St. George regional were very nice. Until they weren’t I have never left a review in my life that should tell you everything you need to know. It’s like a bunch of young bulls .

If there is such a thing as a pleasant chest tube, Dr. Christiansen made it happen! This staff made what should have been a nightmare into the best case scenario. Thank you!

Very grateful that they received my son in this hospital, there are no words to express so many good things that I was able to receive, all the staff from the moment you enter are so excellent that you feel at home, the doctors and nurses are the best, The hospital services are the best, I am so grateful to God for having placed my son in this hospital who was transferred from Las Vegas that instead of giving 5 stars I give 100, thanks to all those medical and administrative staff who treated us , I ask God to continue pouring his blessings on all those wonderful staff and that this hospital be protected by the hand of God. Thank you all and may God bless you.

I had an appointment today for a Cardiovascular Stress Test. I was told by a by a St George Regional Hospital representative, that the Veterans Administration would cover the cost. When I arrived at the hospital, the lady checking me in knew of no connection with the Veterans Administration. Thus St George Regional Hospital does not recognize the status of veterans and does not coordinate payments with the Veterans Administration. The lady at Checkin told me the cost of the Stress Test would be $1400+. I had a Stress Test done at a different hospital previously and the cost was $250. The test would take a maximum of two hours. That's at least $700 per hour charged by St George Regional Hospital. How does St George Regional Hospital make up, justify and charge such exorbitant fees? This is extortion and criminal activity by St George Regional Hospital, as they are the primary hospital in SW Utah. They don't even coordinate Veterans Administration payments. This amounts to denial of service to Veterans, such as myself.$1400 for a couple hours of service !!! How can any operation justify such cost?

Came to get surgery done here. I asked the nurse & her assistant MULTIPLE times to grab me some things & they just ignored my request & continued to leave me for long periods of time before checking in again. We would press the nurse button and it would take a while before they came to me. We didn't get any good discharge instructions and there was a huge lack of communication between the nurses and whoever was discharging me. I was told by my Dr to call the surgeon department at this hospital if I had any issues or concerns over the weekend. I called them on Saturday and Sunday and both times, they were dismissive and seemed agitated just from my 1 concern...they suck overall...wouldn't recommend them to anyone I care about.

My husband went to the ER they kept him to run tests. He ended up having open heart surgery 2 days later. He was in ICU for a couple of days and then in the cardiovascular unit for several days. The staff was incredible. They worked as a team and man they work hard. We couldn’t have been any happier with the kindness and caring that was given to him. Thank you St. George Regional HospitalBarbara Johnson- St George, Utah

Brought my Dad to ER due to an accident and injuries were incurred. Let me just say, for my Dad to agree to go to the hospital, you know he has to be experiencing some pretty bad pain. My Dad NEVER goes to the doctor. After the initial check in we waited in the E.R. waiting room. My Dad’s blood pressure and heart rate was elevated, (one of the ways to truly tell if someone is in pain). Once we were brought back to the room, the doctor (Dr. Jackson) came in shortly there after and did his initial assessment. Some X-rays were ordered and pain was assessed at that time. My Dad and I then waited in the room without a single other employee coming to check on him until the X-ray tech came to get him for X-rays. X-rays were obtained, and he was told it may be 45 min. to an hour and half for the doctors to review and come talk with him. Now we all know how painful X-rays can be. You are injured and they make you twist and move in certain ways to get a clear picture. My Dad was brought back to the room and not a single employee came to check on him or assess his pain level. My father and I sat in that room for about an hour before a Tech, not even a nurse came in and tried to hand my Dad the discharge paper work. The Doctor had not even been in the room yet. When we told the Tech we hadn’t even talked to the Doctor yet and we weren’t leaving she said “oh” and then threw the discharge paperwork on the bed. She then walked out to the desk area, and talked to the the doctor who was sitting at the desk (right outside our room). Now let me say I myself am a healthcare professional and understand how busy things can be, however for the doctor to try and discharge my Dad without even talking to him regarding results and what my dad should do for follow up within the next couple of days is absolutely ridiculous. Dr. Jackson then came into the room and told us everything looked okay, acting as though us wanting an explanation of what he saw on X-rays and then what was recommended after this was an obscure idea/want. We were then told we were free to go. AGAIN I would like to reiterate that we were never seen or greeted by a nurse, and my Father’s pain was NEVER reassessed. Before leaving we were never instructed on what to do for my Father’s pain or how to treat it. Only thing I can say is luckily my Father has multiple health care professionals in his family, so we will take care of him. I cannot believe how we were treated at the ER. Very disappointed in Intermountain Health.

Well to start the medical personnel staffing is the best of the best ! Going 100 miles to serve. Until One or three come after being advice by a medical personnel to do certain action,!, Another comes dictates their will ! ..of what was first advice already!... . Including spreading misinformation,. about a patient falsely acclaimed, report! . It's legal medical document !. Why dictate ?.of what was already written , and recorded .but I will never allow three to rotten the other staff, great job to the rest oooooorah

We are so thankful for the doctors and nurses at St. George Regional Hospital. Our son had a near drowning accident while we were visiting on vacation. We went to the emergency room and they got us back into a room filled with help almost immediately. They took great care of our little guy and when he was transferred to the pediatric unit we were met with some of the best nurses we've ever known. They went above and beyond to give us the help we needed and make sure we were comfortable.

I was on vacation in beautiful St. George Utah and unfortunately I became ill. I went to the nearest hospital which happened to be St. George Hospital. I was very concerned about going to an unknown hospital out of town but I had no choice.I must say that the staff that treated we were top notch. Very professional and very concerning. From the nurses, doctors and even maintenance workers, all were outstanding. I ended up having to stay two days and they took good care of me and accommodated my wife. The food menu and service was exceptional. I am very pleased with my experience and the expertise of this hospital.

The most unprofessional Emergency room practices I’ve ever experienced in any hospital and I’m pretty old so I’ve seen my fair share! We missed our name being called and instead of being the next in line we were forced to wait another hour or so and when I asked why, I was given some weak excuse that they had to let the “sicker” people go first! We had already been called back! And the ones that just got called arrived after us and appeared no sicker than my husband! They seem to pick and choose on their own terms and don’t EVER miss your name being called because they won’t call you back for a few hours!Better yet, just drive to the next hospital!
