Recently I went in to pick up a prescription for a bed-bound relative. I told this to a man behind the counter with a tag that said "Levi." I gave him my relative's full name. He asked for the birthday, but I only knew the month and year (not the exact day).
He lifted his hands from the keyboard and said with a curled lip of disgust, "I cannot look them up without the exact birthday!" Then, he left me standing there as if that was going to be the end of this transaction. I pulled out my phone and turned on the speaker so all the employees could hear (there were no other customers in the store), and I told my in-law that they weren't going to look her up without me giving her exact day of birth. She gave it, but as she did, the irritation was clear in her voice (she'd just be discharged from the hospital with 4 broken ribs). "So, do I need to talk to one of them? she asked...."Oh, no! That won't be necessary! The guy Levi says, suddenly aware that this WAS a legit transaction (OH! Forgot to mention, I had ALREADY given the guy at the register my ID, with my name--that showed me and the in-law had the same last name, etc.) Stapely's had texted my in-law this morning, telling her it could be picked up. She only had me to go do this for her.
HERE'S MY ISSUE: Obviously, Levi could INDEED have looked up my in-law by name! I had literally given her name only the previous time she needed me to pick up her medications, and the girl at the register easily found her and the prescription. SO, Levi, instead of saying something like, "This seems sketchy that you're related, but you don't know your in-law's birthday. I really need to make sure you are who you say you are." OR, if that wasn't the case, say, "I don't know how to look up a person's prescription without a birthday; let me get one of the other tech's to help me."
Instead of doing that, Levi chose to lie about it being an impossible task. More info: recently, I chipped and broke one of my front teeth and haven't been able to afford fixing it, so I look half homeless, and, i was wearing sweats when I went in.
I may look like a bum, but I absolutely hate being treated like I'm stupid. (It's impossible to pull up a patient's prescription with her full name? Really? And, giving the correct month and year PLUS my ID wasn't enough proof? Sorry, I'm not that dumb.)
At the Washington Walmart Pharmacy, I have never been treated like a 2nd class citizen. In fact, half the staff know my name and talk to me even when we bump into each other outside the pharmacy. I've used Stapely's pharmacy before (in St. George) and they've always been quick, efficient, and courteous. Hopefully the Dino Cross location will remember that everyone deserves respect for their business/patronage, even if they don't look classy. And that lying in a manner that assumes the customer is an idiot, is really, REALLY offensive. (Even moreso than my stained shirt!)

Trying to get a script filled these days can come with so much anxiety. The staff at Stapley Pharmacy make refilling a prescription seamless! They are professional, kind and will do what ever they can to resolve any issues. I live in Nevada and actually drive to St. George to get my medication from this pharmacy because I know they have my back! I highly recommend Stapley Pharmacy!

My parents went there one time and I have never heard such disrespectful tone that was used by the pharmacist, they treated my parents like addicts lied to there face and made them seem like a problem and they have a weird rule where you can’t pick up your medicine till 11 and there the only pharmacy that doesn’t let you pick up your medicine earlier, they were very disrespectful and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend using this pharmacy because they don’t care for there patients.

I've been loyal to Stapley for years. They're literally my favorite. They fill so fast. They will go to bat when they need to for you and try to help with whatever they can. They will learn your name and be happy to see you every time you walk through those doors.
