Hoping someone from summit who cares will see this. I’m a summit member, I love it. This location however is the worst of all the 3 locations. I don’t mean to bash, and I don’t intend on canceling my membership. Just some constructive criticism. Here’s why:1-There is WAY too much equipment. I mean like a surplus of equipment and it makes the space congested. People bumping into you trying to squeeze between machines kinda sucks.2- Goes along with #1, some of that equipment is way too old. The space seriously needs to be rid of all the old, broken down machines that don’t work or don’t work properly.3- Lighting. The lighting at this location needs a serious overhaul. It makes the gym look musky and gross. Not inviting at all.Look, I live 5 mins away from this particular location and I drive OUT OF MY WAY to go to the Bluff location simply because of how much better it is. I would LOVE to see some remodels done to this location. Truly, I love summit athletic club. I just wanna see this space in a fresher sense.

Hey Summit, I cancelled my membership over a month ago. No call backs after leaving 2 messages for billing. Very poor customer service.

Honestly my favorite gym to go to in the area. I especially love the outdoor area for working out.The two things that'd make it better is if the kids pool could be open year round like the rest of the pools and if there was somewhere to run outside (probably not too doable, but you never know).

Would not recommend this gym to anyone. They have the worst customer service and their equipment is always broken. Bad experience over all

The cleanest gym I have been too. I was able to find equipment I wanted to work out with.

The facility itself is nice, but overpriced for how torn up some of the equipment is. I also moved away, and upon trying to cancel was given a lot of difficulty and miscommunication and was then charged for an extra month when I had done everything I was told to do to cancel it properly. After speaking with management, they told me they wouldn’t charge me a “cancellation fee” but would still charge me $110 for my memberships and would not refund me even though the reason I was unable to cancel was because they didn’t communicate properly the steps I had to take to do so. Fine place but awful management.

Nice friendly crowd here. Awesome front desk experience every time, friendly and accommodating. Extremely clean, much cleaner than other fitness clubs I've been to. Hats off to the owner and management and the rest of the staff. I mostly go to the River Road location, two reasons, the outstanding outdoor pool, 83° water temperature, swimming outside in January definitely a plus in my book. An outside hot tub as well. Secondly, I love the cushioned indoor track. This is a fantastic club, I like that they are constantly improving and updating the club, just recently, a new line of state of the art treadmills. Blew my mind because I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old ones, maybe a little dated I guess. I heard the new ones are around $12k each!I don't have any affiliation or connection with Summit, just a thankful guy stuck in the house with the crummy weather with time to write a rambling review.

Incredibly disappointed that they are turning all the tennis courts into pickleball courts. It doesn't make any sense. A tennis court can be used as a pickleball court, but a pickleball court can't be used as a tennis court. Why take that away from the tennis players and limit the activities that members can participate in? And sure, there are courts around town where we can play, but some of the women I play with need childcare too. And I really enjoy live ball and cardio tennis. I joined less than 6 months ago just for tennis. I've heard that they will let me out of my contract since tennis is all I do there, but we will see. I'm sure the plans to get rid of tennis were already in the works when I joined, but nothing was said. It's kind of ridiculous.

They've updated their treadmills and that makes a huge difference whenever I miss the gym I go here. I'm impressed with the level of cleanliness they always have workers cleaning, mopping and providing moist towelettes refills in the machines. I always see people on their team cleaning the facility. The staff at the desk and juice bar is friendly. I really like this gym more so than before.

I would give 0 stars if I could. BEWARE OF EVERY SINGLE FEE THEY TRY TO CHARGE YOU. $50 cancellation fee and you can only cancel a membership if you have proof of MOVING. they also charge you a 30 day pay notice so they will charge you one more month of your membership. This gym is GREEDY AND USES FRAUD. IF YOU HAVE PROOF OF MOVING OUT OF STATE YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A CANCELLATION FEE. I HATE THIS PLACE AND EVERY WORKER
