My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Storybook Stone Cottage, and it was truly a magical experience that exceeded our expectations. The cottage's interior was a perfect blend of warmth and elegance. The wood-burning fireplace creating a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The radiant heated floors were a delightful surprise. One of the highlights of our stay was the jacuzzi located next to a serene stream. The soothing sounds of the water combined with the breathtaking surroundings made for a truly relaxing experience. It was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring Sundance. The loft, added an extra layer of fun for our kids. It was a cozy retreat for them, and they absolutely loved having their own special space within the cottage. The convenience of being within walking distance to Sundance Resort was a major plus. The proximity to the resort made it easy for us to access amenities and activities.I cannot speak highly enough of the Stewart Mountain Lodging staff. Their hospitality and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Our experience at the Storybook Stone Cottage was nothing short of magical. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a family retreat, this cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort and charm. I wholeheartedly recommend Stewart Mountain Lodging for anyone looking to book a cabin in Sundance – their dedication to customer satisfaction and the quality of their accommodations make them a top choice for a memorable escape. We can't wait to return!

The Fernwood Cabin is a little slice of heaven. It was so peaceful both inside and outside the cabin. Big windows throughout the house let in lots of natural light and beautiful views of the forest. The home felt both stylish and elegant in design while still being comfortable and relaxing. The hammock was a favorite place to relax and take a nap. We loved the jacuzzi and the patio/grill area. The wood burning fireplace was perfect for the chilly nights. The matresses and sheets were fantastic. We loved them so much we want to buy the same ones for home. Our kids loved the pebble ice machine and playing games around the big kitchen table. The cabin is perfectly situated to take in all the beautiful surroundings and feel secluded but still close enough to walk into Sundance Village for breakfast or dinner. We can't wait to come back to the Fernwood cabin in the winter and enjoy it in the snow too. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!Rooms: All of the rooms were good size. Big beds, nice finishes, good size bathrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking.Nearby activities: Close to ski lifts, restaurants, bars, mountain biking, hiking.Noteworthy details: *Jacuzzi*Hammock*Pebble Ice*Luxury Bedding*Wood burning fireplace*Outdoor Grill*Good Privacy

Last fall, we met with one of the owners of SML to book the Hollow in addition to another large property to rent for our family for our wedding in June 2023. That winter, Utah had historic snowfalls. I began contacting SML as early as March to express concern about the snow. I was assured that if it did not melt by May, SML had equipment where they could and remove the snow in time for the ground to dry. Come May, SML did not remove snow, but gladly took full payment for both the Hollow and the house, for our other rentals, and those of our guests. Then, 23 days before our wedding, the other owner, emailed us to abruptly cancel our venue at the Hollow. There was no phone call, no apology, just an explanation that they were concerned about their lawn recovering this summer, and that the stream was louder than usual. They had no alternative venue, and suggested we book the Sundance Resort for our venue - a thoughtless recommendation to make 3 weeks before our wedding as all of our vendors (catering, rental etc.) were well past their cancellation policies and Sundance Resort also had been completely booked as of the year before. SML then suggested they could get permission to host our wedding at the house that we were already renting. When SML confirmed, it also came with "stipulations" of an additional $4,000 "fee" plus $3,000 security deposit - un-coincidentally the exact the sum we had paid for the Hollow. With zero options, this felt like extortion, and we accepted. This now required us to re-plan an entire wedding in a couple of weeks, and forfeit substantial investments that were made in anticipation of having the venue at the Hollow.During the process of replanning the wedding, SML owners were unresponsive at best. It took days for them to respond to emails (often requiring 2 and 3 emails plus phone calls and texts to get a response), and phone calls would go unreturned. This contributed to an already extremely stressful situation that any bride would describe as a complete nightmare. In the end, the lawn at the Hollow was green and healthy the week of our wedding and SML appeared to be setting up another event. We were respectful the entire weekend left the house spotless, yet the owner was belligerent, rude, and unprofessional. The way events were also handled from the cancellation of our wedding to checking-out are beyond the bounds of human decency, let alone professionalism. This is a family run business, who runs their business without concern for their impact on others and makes unethical grabs at additional profits after they take every effort to upend a wedding. They truly took what was supposed to be the best day of our lives and ruined much of the joy in the occasion. If you are considering SML for an important event, I can recommend more strongly to look elsewhere.

We just returned from a 5 day stay at this property and we all thought it was fabulous. The space is great for a large group (we were 16) and the managers are very responsible. There was a personal touch when we arrived - fresh pumpkin bread and lolly pops - we loved this touch! We already are booking for next years trip!

Heartwood and Stewart Mountain Lodging were amazing. The house was spotless, spacious, comfortable, very well equipped, and an amazing mountain location. My family was ready to move in, not checkout. I can’t think of anything that was missing. Even tried to figure out the mattress brand to for our next one. Stewart Mountain provided lots of communication and great directions to ensure we didn’t get lost (GPS was wrong for this location). We will be back for sure.Be sure to note you can hike to Stewart Mountain Falls right from here.

Cabin in the Pines is perfect in every way! Our family of 5 loved our stay there over Christmas. It is so cozy but still feels like enough room for everyone. The space is designed very well. The kids loved the loft area. The kitchen is great and has all the basic things you need for cooking. The hot tub got lots of use. The fireplace is awesome.Customer service is top notch too! They checked in on us and gave us updates when the power went out. Our driveway was shoveled everyday. Very friendly people! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

We loved our stay at the Upper Hollow in Sundance. Stewart Mountain Lodging was excellent in every way! They kept us informed with our arrival details and the cabin was perfect when we arrived. We were even notified of possible construction downstairs and if it bothered us they would make some accommodations for us. The construction turned out to not disturb us at all and we wouldn’t have even known if they hadn’t informed us. But, we appreciated the heads up! We were there for just a quick Thursday to Saturday stay and we enjoyed all that Sundance has to offer! The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The bed and linens were also very nice. I would highly recommend staying at the Sundance cabins and highly recommend Stewart Mountain lodging. They pay attention to every detail.

We had a wonderful experience with Stewart Mountain Lodging. We stayed in the Storybrook Cottage and Once Upon a River. Both houses were exceptional. The attention to detail in both accommodations and kindness shown by the hospitality team were beyond our expectations. The kitchens had everything we needed and the beds were so very comfortable. The homes and outdoor settings are beautiful. We are already planning our next trip to Sundance and will be staying with Stewart Mountain Lodging again.

Our family just returned from our stay at Conifer Creek. We had the best time! Beautiful, cozy, quaint cabin that was perfect for 8 adults, one grandchild and our dog! We have never had a company with so much attention to detail. They made sure roads were plowed for us when arriving after much snowfall and were in contact to make sure we had vehicles to handle access to the cabin. Arrived to find Christmas lights with fresh garland around the entrance and deck front. Also, entered the cabin to find a fresh pine Christmas tree with lights and garland with lights on the fireplace mantel. Really appreciated all the little touches that made it feel like home...so welcoming and cozy. Cabin was supplied with all you could ever need or want. There was even a couple of pair of snow shoes, firewood, and a hot tub, which was a hit with my kids! They fulfilled their dream of making a tubing trail, even at the ages of 22 and 27! hahaStewart Mountain Lodging is the best and easily accessible for any questions or help if needed! Thank you so very much for the memories we made with our family! We will be back!!

I love this place. I have stayed in the Upper Hollow Cabin a couple of times now, both times for several days, and look forward to to staying again in the future. Each time it is the day to check out, I start try to figure out how I could stay a few more days. The cabin is a generous size. Couch, bed, kitchen table, chairs, all comfortable and well appointed. I love the gas fireplace, the view of the mountains, the steam shower, and the kitchen has everything you need to stayed in and cook meals. It is convenient to the Sundance shop, bar and restaurants. The entrance hallway looks to have more than ample room for sports equipment, but I personally consider watching the fireplace as my sport and enjoy the steam shower apres fire watching.

My husband and I just loved this home. From the moment we walked in, we felt that homey feeling. The living areas are open and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we appreciated the house being warm when we arrived as it was a cold day! The hot tub was great and we used it every day we were there! If we come back to Sundance in the future we will absolutely stay at this home again.

We overall had a really nice time in a beautiful location. The cabin was very cute for sure and well stocked. The hot tub was a great bonus. I was a bit surprised at home cramped the second bedroom was and so feel the price is rather high as it's not super different from other places I've found on Airbnb at lower rates. I think next time we will pick a larger cabin even for a group of four.

First of all let me say that Stewart Mountain Lodging gets a 5 our of 5. Wyatt and his team are fabulous. They bend over backwards to assist their customers 24/7. I will rent from them again next year and simply upgrade our unit. Upper Hollow, the unit we rented, gets a 4/5. It is really attractive and has a comfortable bed, superb steamer shower, big screen internet enabled smart TV, and is really excellent for a week or less stay. We stayed there a whole month and really needed a stove/oven and washer/dryer. Also the unit needs a bit of remodeling. The unit is in a really pretty community called the Pines, is slope side to the Sundance Mountain ski area, which we did not know when we rented and were thrilled when we skied our first day. All of these lodging facts were transparently communicated to us (except the slope side benefit), so we own the decision. This all said, we had a fabulous time in Sundance which is a magical place, especially when it snows. In summary, Stewart Mountain Lodging will always tell you the truth and earn your business every day of your stay!

We had the most amazing weekend getaway in a perfect little riverside cabin through Stewart Mountain Lodging. The staff was so attentive - they were quick to respond whenever we had questions, even during the evening hours when we arrived to the cabin late Friday evening. They checked in and made sure we were comfortable and were communicative before, during, and after our stay. We wish we could've lived in the cabin we rented for the weekend! There were so many thoughtful details throughout the house itself and it had literally everything we needed. We will definitely be renting through them again! Thank you for an amazing weekend.

Stewart Mountain Lodging was very helpful and organized. We enjoyed the stay and especially enjoyed the surrounding area. The cabin was nice except that the HVAC did not cool the entire house adequately, leaving the master bedroom quite warm during the day and night. It was very loud when running the AC. I would recommend staying in the area again but not the same cabin.
