Let me say upfront that I was part of a large group, so the mess up was related to that. Many in the group ordered medium rare filets. At least two of us ordered rare filets. The two of us that I know of, were served last, and I knew that might be a problem. Rare would normally come out first, right? We both got well done steaks. I didn't complain because I wasn't paying, but it was really weird that the servers didn't come by and ask if everything was okay. If they had, I would have told them about the error. They disappeared after the delivery. Otherwise, the service and food as okay. I did finish the steak, so it was a good steak, just not cooked to my liking. Funny thing is that I only came back to write this review because I am sitting here eating an Omaha Steak Filet and loving it. I cooked it myself rare as I like it.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. We were in a private room, so the kids didn't bother other patrons. I am not sure how I would feel with kids in the main dining room.

The Foundry Grill is one of our most favorite restaurants. Just had the brunch buffet and it was amazing.

We attended the Sunday Breakfast Buffet with perhaps higher expectations than we should have. The selection was not as high end as another place we have visited for such. $55 an adult. The service was great. I wish I had caught our servers name she was great. As for the end result, we all got very sick about 2 hours after and continued to be sick for 12 hours. Needless to say, this is the only thing we had eaten in more than 24 hours. All arrows point to food poisoning. ?Parking: $10 for 2 hours

The food did not impress and has declined in overall quality from earlier experiences. My filet was served medium well not medium rare and lacked flavor. The service and ambience are great, but I’d rather spend a little more at the Tree Room where the food and experience are always phenomenal.

Came here for Sunday brunch with family (young children and elderly folks in our group). Food quality and selection was great as usual. We had been here a few times previously so we love to bring out of town visitors here. This time though, service fell way below the mark. As we were still eating, server brought our bill but told us no rush. This wasnt a problem so I just went ahead and paid to get the check off our table. About 10minutes later, the hostess (i believe) comes by and basically tells us “politely” that there’s another reservation after us so we need to leave while our group was still eating. We were on time for our reservation and was there for about an hour and 15minutes. Also they still had quite a few empty tables when we left so not sure what that was about. Lesson learned: they will “shoo” you out after about an hour so better eat fast I guess. Terrible rule or whatever it is they enforce.

Magnificent place with excellent service. The ribeye was too dry - otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Portobello mushroom sandwich with sweet potato fries was excellent. Much better than the more expensive meal I had at Deer Valley last week.

Not as good as expected. The food was ok, but nothing standout. Part of my meal was very clearly overcooked, the broccoli (you can see in the photos) and was actually so tough it was hard to eat.The service wasn't what I'm used to in America, fairly grumpy and a bit short with us, but I'm willing to believe that it might just have been a bad night. The atmosphere however, and the setting, are superb. It's a great location with fantastic views and a couple or small group would get lost in themselves, enjoying the place, the views and the atmosphere.Booking is absolutely essential, I doubt they ever take walk-ins as the resort was really busy and it's not a huge restaurant.Go for the views, not for the food.Parking: There's quite a bit of parking, but it serves the ski resort as well as the restaurant. It's easier to park in the evenings. The road up the hill is cleared of snow when necessary

I’ve been here a few times, but the most recent trumps them all. The service was fine, but the food was incredible. From the homemade bread to the soup, salad, filet and salmon. Everything was delicious and this is easily one of the best restaurants in Utah. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

The food here is always amazing. And I love that theses some vegetarian options. Right now they have the winter menu and some vegetarian friendly options include the hummus (appetizer), the corn chowder (soup/salad), and the vegetable pot pie (entree) ?Vegetarian options: some vegetarian friendly options include the hummus (appetizer), the corn chowder (soup/salad), and the vegetable pot pie (entree) ?

I've edited since my original review 3 years ago. Things have gone majorly south since the new Sundance ownership. The food and quality is now subpar and prices have increased. It's very sad.Lovely atmosphere and amazingly delicious food.

For the caliber this restaurant and resort should or claims to be booking a party is a clown car show. Called sales explaining I want to book qn evening b-day party who told me to call the Foundry Grill, who the person needed to listen, under THEN responded. When they finally understood we want an evening catered party at the restaurant they said, "Call the sales department." I'll call another resort. Previous ownership was much more buttoned up and prepared. This intera does NOT instill confidence especially with what we expect to pay. Sundance prices, Chuck-a-Rama service is not worth the risk.

The food was good as it always have been. Maybe the Hanger Steak Sandwich could have been cooked a bit more. We got there 10min early, to be told that they could only accommodate us at 12:30. Fair enough. When we came back from a very short walk in the cold, we were promptly seated. Unfortunately at a table that was more suited for two or three people. We were five. After being seated, we were completely ignored for 20min. To the credit of the server, she did apologized for making us wait. Then the drinks order, followed by the food. At this stage we asked for everything to come together. It did, with the exception of a second soup that appeared to went missing for a while. It is a bit awkward when your out of state guest did not get their soup and the whole table is "overflowing" with dishes for everyone else.We also seem to be changing servers the whole time. Struggled to order more drinks. In the end, the meal took a lot longer than expected. Not a huge problem, but you have to keep it in mind that you now have to pay for parking, which you did not have to do in the past if you have a reservation. It is a pity. This was one of our favorite local gems or attractions that we always took our guests to. Not cheap, but it use to be worth it.
