We both purchased a home and sold a home through Golden Spike Realty. We were impressed by their knowledge of the housing market in Logan which they used to help us make informed decisions without pressuring us. Throughout our experience they were friendly and personable while being constantly accessible when we had questions or needs. They earned our trust so much when we purchased our home that we considered no one else but them when it came time to sell our home. Steven, Melody, and Tiffany are more than our realtors, they are our friends.

Tami Snider was absolutely wonderful throughout our search and purchase of our home! She dropped everything at each request to view houses and even made arrangements to view houses same day and even within an hour of requests. Oh man... where do I begin... worst rental company EVER. Think twice before EVER renting from this group. For starters, their duplexes in Riverdale are SO out of date. I have lived here for a VERY long time and not one window in my apartment has a GOOD window screen. It's either missing, or damaged so that it's literally rendered useless. The very back of the duplexes are missing the dryer vents, so people have stuffed pop cans down them and later when cleaning them out we found them and they were dated back to the 80's... the weather stripping around the door is coming off, or is off in most places and bugs or other critters are able to come in not to mention the cold winter air. Don't bother calling maintenance.. it takes them 4 months to get to you, and if you deduct it off of your rent to cover the cost your landlord will come and put an eviction notice on your door for being $20 short, and not compensate you for the cost. Oh! It's more than 80 degrees in your apartment because they have not serviced your swamp cooler and it's almost summer?! Get used to it! Go look at the very back of the duplexes... stupid kids in the neighborhood have literally ripped the electrical boxes off the brick walls and all the wires are now exposed. How nice! There is spray paint from gang graffiti STILL on the walls of my apartment building. The toilet is cracked, leaks, and the sink in the bathroom is still broken. It took them almost 6 months to fix my kitchen disposal and my faucet that broke. I was washing my dishes in my bathtub then transporting them to my dishwasher which by the way broke and took them nearly a year to fix. OH! If you have asthma don't live here. The landlords do not care. They allow smoking in all of the apartments, AND no one abides by the clean air act. Don't live here. Period!

I bought the home from "Team Musselman" Agents Calvin Musselman & Dawnell Musselman of Golden Spike Realty as a single senior, out of state buyer. I visited the home and asked the listing agent to walk me around the boundary of the property. Dawnell Musselman lied and led me to believe that the front yard, side yard, and detached garage the seller built and used came with the property. I asked her to walk me around the perimeter of the property (It went into the canyon and I wanted to see how far). She and the seller walked me around the yard and garage and I had no reason to suspect that the yard and garage did not belong to the seller but because Dawnell's family had subdivided it into two parcels and lost one she deceived me and did not tell me that. The 2nd parcel went to Davis County Property Management because Dawnell's grandmother did not pay her property taxes on it. Davis County-owned and told me after the sale when I learned about it 3 years later from a neighbor that my home was not legal with required setbacks and I could not sell it. They did not disclose either but I have proof from UDOT they knew a freeway was going in on the next door property and that UDOT would be moving my street within two weeks of this sale closing! Also that there was a large man-sized 6-foot by 6-foot Aquaduct on the property running close to the foundation of this home that could wipe it out if there was an earthquake or it deteriorated as well as other major issues the home inspector could not have known but these agents did know because it was a family property for over 50 years. I feel they were deceptive and lied to me to get a big $10,000 plus sales commission. I contacted their broker Bob Hill and he threatened to report me to the police for complaining and said he would "look into it" but would not follow up on it. Cal Musselman is a state legislator and former President of the Northern Wasatch Association of Realtors and should have better ethics and business practices that this! Team Musselman sets a very bad example for the other real estate agents and Utah legislators. I complained to their broker Bob Hill but he threatened me and did not follow up on my complaint to him.

Our realtor, Lori Fleming did a fabulous job, going above and beyond what I would expect. Without her this transaction would not have been successful and we could’ve been out of the house looking to rent and Having to move twice. Kudos to her for that fantastic work ethic and sincere professionalism and willingness to work through the hard situations while keeping a good sense of humor and making it fun! GREAT JOB!!!!
