Had the best experience here. Had to come to put our first dog down. They made it a wonderful experience. Definitely the worst decision to make as an owner, but the best decision for the animal. Just know your animal loves you and will always be with you. Do what's best for them, not you. ??
I love you baby girl, your sister misses you so much.

Went in the other night to have our dog looked at because she has been hacking, coughing and wheezing with some throwing up in there to. Got quoted out $500 to start with in x-ray of her throat. So we told them ya. After that, they come back in when and go we don't see anything, we need to do an X-ray on her stomach now and some blood work and that's another $500. So we tell em ya, I guess it has to be done. The come back out and say we still can't see anything. Come back tomorrow so we can do another x-ray of her stomach and pay another $500!
We sat there for over 3 hours to be told we don't see anything wrong with her but pay us $1000. I can't take my dog back there because it's to expensive and she's still having the same problems. I just feel like this place is a scam for money. Maybe I'm naive and don't know but it seems like you could just x-ray everything at once and be done for half the cost. She's obviously got something wrong with her, for $1000 I thought they should have been able to tell me. The lady at the front desk was super nice though. Would not recommend this place to anyone though.

Our sweet, 18-year old toy poodle, became seriously ill and it was sadly time to put him asleep. It was a Sunday and there were no Vet offices open in Cache Valley so I called MedVet and they said that they could do it. After a 50 minute drive, they got us right in and were very compassionate and gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. Staff was extremely professional and understanding. They made a sorrowful situation much better. Thank you for your kindness.

Never again will I take my dog to this emergency clinic. There was one tech in the facility that was good but the rest of employees were awful. I highly recommend going to one of the other 24-hour clinics in the area. They were quick to take my money and after 4 hours they couldn't give me any information about my dog. They insisted on keeping her overnight, and that's when I walked out. There's no way I was going to leave my dog in their care overnight. I scheduled an appointment with my vet the next day.

I went there because they were the only place open. My new kitten started throwing up after he had gotten vaccines earlier that day. I went on friday night around 11pm and was out by 1:30am, so not too bad. They gave him fluids and a nausea injection and was 350 dollars! My kitten was fine until Sunday, he started throwing up and having diarrhea. I called them and had to bring him back. I was there from 10 pm sunday to 4 am on monday with only 2 other patients in the clinic. I was asking so many questions and told them the whole story of his symptoms and how he was fine other than throwing up and diarrhea. They did blood tests and fluid injections and ran him for parvo twice(Friday and Sunday night) with both tests coming back negative. They told me to go home and disinfect everything and to give him more dewormer(which is what he had a reaction to on friday) and nausea meds and an antibiotics that is supposed to last 3 weeks. Another 500 dollars later. After getting home I disinfected and bought everything new again to ensure that my other cats wouldn't get parvo like the vet said. After my kitten kept having diarrhea and my other cats were having diarrhea but no other symptoms, I took them to a different emergency vet who took them in as soon as I got there. They ran tests for parasites and concluded that none of my cats had any, which is good. They gave prescribed a probiotic(which medvet put on my estimate and was supposed to give to me, but when I called and asked about it they said it wasn't part of the treatment even though it's on my receipt and part of the cost I paid) and some different food for sensitivity. And they only charged me 200 for all three cats and I only spent a total of 40 minutes there with over 5 patients! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CATS TO MEDVET!!! The doctors don't listen and just want your money! I tried so explain the situation and asked as many questions as I could, but they still came back with the worst possible news, that wasn't even right. Plus 6 hours in the middle of night is ridiculous. I know it's an ER vet but there were only 2 patients about 2 hours in and I could hear the doctors in the room next door the whole time and they were walking and just sitting in lobby seeming to forget and not care about my animal and me. I will never return to one of these facilities.

We had an emergency late night and came here. They were very helpful and explained everything upfront which I appreciated it. All the staff was very kind. We had a great experience despite the circumstances. Highly recommend.

Excellent care and kindness from all staff. Knowledgeable Vet who was very empathetic, and gentle with my dog. She quickly diagnosed the issues, explained treatment clearly, and answered all questions. Estimate of costs were provided before moving forward with treatment. Her staff checked back with me before leaving to make sure I was comfortable, understood, had all my questions answered. I would absolutely come here again, and recommend to others.

Worst place I took my dog here in a serious matter I had 2500 and all they suggested was if I didn’t have the funds to perform surgery than to euthanize my dog I know things happen but to help other patients in the future by billing them and helping them by letting them make payments the doctor repeatedly kept saying if you don’t have the funds there’s nothing we can do how can you be so cruel and let the dog suffer when I came for help you should’ve worked with me about anything not just to euthanize my pet

Knowing they are open 24x7 is comforting when you have an ailing pet. They were very kind and addressed all my concerns. The wait time quoted was a concern but we were seen fairly quickly.

Brought our dog in for end-of-life care. They were wonderful to us. They were wonderful to her. I wish it wasn't so expensive. We financially can't afford the services all at once. I have to make payments. But they were so wonderful to her.

We had to rush down here from Cache Valley after midnight on a Sunday when we realized our dog likely had a very serious UTI. We were seen by a tech pretty much immediately to get things started and he was very kind and loving to our poor in pain pup. He let us know that the ICU side of the clinic was full so they were incredibly busy so the long wait times we ended up with were expected. When it came time to start testing and treatment the staff was incredibly transparent on pricing and gave us a detailed breakdown of each action they’d take with the associated cost. You could tell from the moment we walked in that the tech and doctors here truly care about animals and wanted the best for our dog. I am so grateful to know that the closest 24 hour vet is a great choice, please bring a MedVet to Cache Valley!

Price! Wow just wow. Quoted 900 plus dollars for 2to3 stitches. I don't know what all was going on when I got there saw 2 names on the board and then only I was in the lobby 90 minutes later I was told the crazy cost for a couple of stitches after sitting in the room for 75 minutes.
I quickly declined and was on my way to pay 130 for a visit and 79 dollars for 7 days (2pills a day) of antibiotics. a lesson on 24 hour vets.
Hate to see what cost is to put down an animal if it was something tragic and would cost too much for someone to pay.

I lost my cat while trying to get her to this er for breathing problems. First off I will say the ladies at the counter and the ones checking on me were so kind and sympathetic and I really appreciated it. When I got to MedVet it was 10pm. They say that they are 24 hours but the entry doors were locked? My cat stopped breathing right as we had parked and when I went up to the doors they wouldn’t open. I had to go to the side door and bang on it to get their attention. Their security guard was not kind at all and gave us a nasty look and point to the entry doors so we had to run back to them and they had to open the doors to let me in. I do not appreciate the people who made me feel like they just wanted us out of there so they could go on with their night. I don’t understand why the doors were locked at 10pm when they are 24 hours. I do truly appreciate those who were kind and helped my cat pass as peacefully as possible but I don’t appreciate those who were not kind and made the situation 10 times worse and traumatic for me and my brother.

I’ve been here twice now with two different dogs. First time they literally turned us away because they didn’t have a vet on site….
This last time we waited for over an hour to see a vet. I understand it’s an emergency vet so other cases get bumped. However they weren’t very helpful and cost significantly more than anyone else. Bedside manners were less than admirable. When we were finally done they offered us help moving our dog to the car and due to their negligence our dog fell on the cement, broke a tooth and hurt himself more. The nurse found a tooth underneath our dog, our dog was actively bleeding and the nurse said she’d take him back for a quick exam “free of charge”. She brought him back out and said he was perfectly fine and actually hadn’t broken a tooth. Two days later our dog is throwing up blood because he swallowed so much blood from loosing said not lost tooth. Our normal vet who we trust, told us not only did medvet not prescribe the correct medication they neglected to even treat our dog. If you are in need of a vet, honestly I’d avoid these people at all costs. They want to make money not help pets. It’s disgusting. They made us panic into buying two prescriptions that actually didn’t help and then further hurt our dog. If you are close please visit Farr West Animal hospital instead.

Our poor baby Toby was very sick. We brought him in to the sunset Emergency vet and had Dr. Looch. The staff and Dr. Looch were such amazing, and caring people. We did have to euthanize our baby that evening unfortunately, but Dr. Looch and the staff we so caring and we could not have asked for a better experience. I really wish that Dr. Looch knows we do not blame him but appreciate his professionalism as well as his caring demeanor. Thank you Dr. Looch we know our baby was sick and needed our thoughtout intervention. We have never received such care and compassion than we did at Sunset Emergency Vet care.
