We went to the Syracuse WalMart auto department today at noon to have our car serviced for an oil change. We were told it would be about a 2-hour wait and we didn't mind since we had shopping that we needed to do. We returned to the auto department at 2 p.m. to check on the car. It was still sitting there waiting to be serviced. We asked how much longer, and we were told about another hour and a half. The manager approached us around 3:15 p.m. and asked what car we were waiting for, and we told him. He said because we had been waiting for almost 3.5 hours, the service would be on him. He expressed that the only way he could give us a free oil change was for us to pay for it first, and then he would reimburse us. Guess what? We didn't get a free oil change. We still had to pay for the labor. Needless to say, we were not too thrilled to have waited almost 4 hours and to be deceived by the manager. Don't tell someone the oil change is on them and that we wouldn't have to pay for anything. What also bothered us was that as we stood there waiting to pay, the manager was in the back silly, stringing the female workers. No wonder we had to wait so long. I hope no one else has to go through this and that the manager is held accountable for his actions.

I don't like shopping at Walmart and I try not to, but on occasions, I have to. For instance, Walmart carries the large bag of dog food that I can't find other places. And since Walmart is nearby and opened late, it's convenient when I'm in a pinch. What I like about the Syracuse Walmart, as opposed to many other Walmarts that I have visited over the years, is that it is fairly clean and it's never crowded when I've gone there. The new manager in the auto department is friendly and accommodating.

As far as wal-mart's go, this is one of the cleaner facilities I've been to. I also appreciate the large grocery section.

This location is ridiculous. Lack of personality or real customer service. I literally watched a cashier training another cashier to put a loaf of bread in with raw meat. Gross and HELLO cross contamination. Then she got snippy with me for asking they be separated and I asked nicely. Then out loud she says to the new hire " and you don't need to make small talk or ask each person if they found everything because they watch our speed so we need to be getting people out of here fast". Wow! Save yourself the headache and go to Clinton or Layton. Much nicer people.

I visited the Syracuse Ut Wal Mart. I am in disbelief of the complete lack of social distancing. The people there including the employees are acting as if nothing is wrong. I tried my hardest to keep my distance. People were right next to me, I didn't linger in any isle. The inconsiderate people that bring all of their children and those that get that close to others, are reprehensible human beings. If you want to get sick fine. That store just doesn't care, I think this virus has made them care less! The Manager should know there is 0 effort made to keep people and employees away from others. I can't shop there anymore. I should have taken a picture of what's going on there and send it to the C.D.C. I've never written a review on a wal mart and I'm not a complaint type but this is off the chart unsafe! If the Manager reads this, they are complicit in spreading germs, virus, and no social distancing. Just the opposite!

Placed an online pick up order. Got the message that my order was ready at 4:45, left my house, I was there at 5pm, I waited in a line to get to a pick up spot for an hour (not their locations fault but corporate) once I got into a stall for my order and did my check in it was 6, I waited until 7:30 and then called the store where the manager was extremely rude and had absolutely no care for the situation and no intention of helping. She did not apologize for the wait or any sort of hospitality at all. I waited for 3 hours to get an order that I was never able to get because I needed to be somewhere at 8:30. My order was set for 5-6pm pick up. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. People who parked after me received their orders and had gone by 6:45. Hope and pray that you never have an issue at this location or you will be treated like absolute garbage and waste 3 hours of your day.

I shop here regularly. It is a clean store and typically has decent customer service.

By far the best overall prices of any stores in the area, and I like this store much better than the Clinton one. Over the past few years, they ring up better and better--unlike Smiths and Winegars, I'm not actually jittery at check out, expecting to correct a cashier with a photo I took of the price--it rarely happens at Walmart now. IF you can find an employee to help, they are generally very helpful. Decent clothing selection and quality at decent prices. It would be nice to have better clothing size selections, but I can order online and pick up and try at the store. (Love the pick up center, though it has been hit and miss with finding employees there.) It would be cool if they could stock Harbor Freight-type tools (HyperTough works okay, but not really, and B&D is poor value). Wish they would carry guns. I don't like the slanted (and skinny) parking stalls. LOVE the return policy--I don't abuse it but do use it often; it saves me time, allows me to stop overthinking and just buy and see, and I probably spend at least 1/3 more because of it, especially on high-priced items. And, it's nice to be able to tell companies their products they advertise in certain ways are just not up to standards. MUCH better return policy than Amazon's.

This is my favorite Walmart from Salt Lake City to Riverdale. They have the best selection, it doesn't smell, it is always clean, the people are friendly (including other customers), lots of registers, lots of self check ones too and parking is easy. Parking is huge deal to me and most Walmart's have carts strung out thru the parking lot because the people who shop there are too lazy to take the cart to the return. This is the only Walmart, including ones in California that people actually put carts where they go. Great job Syracuse Walmart!!

I hardly ever go to Wal-Mart, and after this visit, I'm reminded why. Visit to this location at about 8:30 PM or so on 12/26 to purchase a couple small items only to find the two checkout lines that were open were backlogged with customers, as well as the self-checkout lines. The store simply didn't have enough staff manning registers. All lines appeared to be at a standstill, too, which was odd. I left and ordered what I needed online in my car in their parking lot. Thank you, Amazon.

The only reasons I shop at this Walmarts are location and prices. They have a handful of items that I cannot find elsewhere and another handful that have a better price than what I can find at other grocery stores so I come here for those items. Additionally, I come here for non-grocery items, again due to price. The staff at most Walmarts and this one, in particular, aren't trained well and are not friendly (again due to a lack of training). The staff will go out of their way not to make eye contact or engage you as you move about the store, much different than the grocery store I normally shop at. This is the closest store to my home, but I drive by it 95% of the time to shop elsewhere.

Took a vehicle in for an oil change and the guy was super rude...like he was put out that I was there. The only reason I didn't give 1 star was because the service was quick and the person who checked me out was not as rude as the guy who I spoke to first.

This place isn't too bad. Good location. We're always down the road at the park and it's been a relief in diapers and wipes or snack emergencies. They usually have what I need, it seasy to find. The employees are nice, some may not. If they aren't, brush it off and move on. Everyone has a story. Just be nice. Good store.

This review is based on the auto/tire and lube section of the store. I have taken my car at this location several times and they never fail to disappoint. Worst service ever. I keep going back because it is close to home and hope for better service, but I am disappointed each an every time.

Not a single 2 liter of ANY brand of root beer. Not a single toddler boy sweater (sweatshirts, not suitable for picture taking, yes). Nice sweaters, no. No ornament hanging hooks - it's the week before Christmas but seriously? No hooks, no stockings!? Not one fleece pj in newborn size. Needless to say, inventory completely sucks. Why will I go to Walmart for inferior service compared to other stores when they don't have anything I need. Thank you Target for easily having and displaying everything I needed and with staff that is actually friendly and efficient.
