We left our dog there to be boarded. On the second day we got a call 15 minutes before they were to close saying our dog had run away. They blamed it on our dog that apparently wasn't being watched as he climbed the fence and took off. When asked what they were doing to find him they said they closed at 5:30 and would "take a different rout home to see if they could find him." That is all they were willing to do to get him back. We ended up calling dispatch later that night who said an officer had picked up our dog around midnight across the busy road at Walmart when some kind person found him and called for the officer to come get him. Our dog spent the rest of the night in the shelter. We had a family member pick him up from this boarding facility first thing in the morning who was charged full price for 3 days when one of those days he wasn't even in their care but instead dodging traffic and being cared for in the county shelter. They took no responsibility for not keeping our dog safe, offered no apology, and acted put out by the situation. They even called him a "Little Sh**" when they handed him over to our relative.

Vet was short and very rude to my wife! When she asked for specification on how to properly administer a prescription for our animal (somewhat important to get the details understand correctly) the vet responded to her saying, "I dont answer stupid questions." He then slowly enunciated in a condescending and demeaning manner, "You take a knife and you cut the pills in half!" My poor wife was embarrassed and wanted to cry... What happened to customer service? Not to mention just plain civility? We will never take an animal here again. Shame on anyone for treating an innocent, kind person in such a shameful and chauvinistic manner. Good one, doc.

If I could give negative stars I would. I brought in a perfectly happy healthy dog to simply get booster shots but left with a traumitized bleeding one. Joe Roundy is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever met, He abused my dog then refused to help after I was told to come get medication due to his inability to properly trim a dog's toe nails. He is currently being investigated by DOPL and has already been reprimanded by them in the past for killing animals because he did not know what he was doing. He is really easy to get into and cheap for a reason... I urge you to do some research before trusting him with any of your animals if you consider them part of the family like I do. The additional cost and time it has taken to try and fix the damage he did is infuriating and inexcusable.

Do not go unless it is the bottom of the barrel. Made an appointment for my cat who I was worried had an infection from a bite. Been here before, and although the vet was a bit rough with the animals, overall wasn't a bad experience. So I made the appointment. My sister ended up taking the cat in, and she came back in tears. Not because of bad news, the cat was just fine, but from the sheer anger and lack of professionalism from the vet. He berated his staff in front of her because of a inane technicality, shaved over the cats scabs til he bled, and left his secretary crying by the front door. The moment my sister walked in the air was tense, and in the span of 45 minutes several people were crying. Thankful nothing was wrong with our cat because I did not want my family to be in there a second longer! Wish I waited a few more days for an appointment at Stansbury. Don't know what the mans issue is, but if he doesn't like people or animals, he is in the wrong business! If you love your pets, or even yourself, don't go here

I would give a ZERO if I could. Worst service. Receprionist needs a different job. The pathetic lady is very rude and unintersted in her business that should be the clients. When I called with questions after my dog had been seen at this clinic I dont remember exctly what she said but sounded and felt like a "go to hell!" Statement. They need someone who cares up front.

I have gone to Dr.Roundy for years after not jiving so well with the other vet in town. Roundy is a straight shooter and won't beat around the bush when the diagnosis is tough. He is a country vet and will tell you when you can do something or he can do it and charge you. Even 4 years after moving back to SLC we still choose to travel 40 minutes to Tooele to see Roundy. I have spent $1000 on a cat in the city that I know would have been 1/2 that in Tooele. And I have friends that routinely spend $600+ on a teeth cleaning that I have never paid more than $200 for. Keep it up Dr.Roundy! People like me still very much appreciate you!

it as been over two years since I took my dog Tigger to the vet. had surgery on her and she passed away while in there custody. They told me that they wanted to watch and observe her overnight BUT yet nobody stayed there overnight to watch and observe her! if they were not going to stay there and watch her then why did they say that! if I knew no one was going to be there overnight I would of went and got her! I don't see how they are still open! with so many bad reviews! I even contacted the veterinary association and the state licenses division, also I contacted the H.S.U. talked to John Fox. he had the attitude that the Veterinary was just a good old boy, I felt that he did not want to make any waves because he took animals there to be treated so they got a break. that is my opinion! and the state license div. and the veterinary association did not what to pursue it any further! I think they should be closed down or put on probation for a while until things change. I feel that they have no compassion for the animals they are just there for the money. every one that works there are RUDE, IGNORANT. AND DONT SEEM TO CARE! also I would recommend for any body that goes there to take a video/audio recorder with you, because they will deny everything that they told you before and they don't even know who did the surgery on my dog, both vets there said it was the other vet that did the surgery! maybe we should all get together that as had bad experiences with these veterinary and start a petition to try and get them closed down!!

Worst Vet clinic I have ever had to deal with and let me tell you why. Incomplete examinations. Rude, defensive and incompetent staff. Not a hint of compassion or empathy. Money seems to be the only motivation for this business that is in the business of caring for your animals. Case in point. My dog, Koto, suffered from seizure attacks due to age and heart problems. After a severe attack, I decided it was time. I called this establishment, they told me to come in. Upon arriving and being sent to an examination room, rhoundy wouldn't so much as touch my dog until I paid him the full amount for the visit. "This is a business, you know" were the exact words he said. Called my wife because I forgot my wallet in haste, gave him our card number and only then did he relieve my dogs suffering. While this is going on the young lady working the front desk is bent out of shape because it's past closing hours and she has to stick around while I'm distraught saying goodbye to my dog. Today, I went in to get a shot for my cats asthma. Even though I had been told by another vet and 2 vet techs that I could pick up the depo shot and administer it to my cat at home, because he does not travel well, the lady at the front desk goes "No, we don't dispense that. You need to bring your cat in." Well lady, if I'm going to have to travel with my cat, I might as well take him to see Karma Taylor at Brookside in West Jordan P

I called in regards to an animal attack that occurred between family dogs, and was treated so poorly by the front desk lady! The lady tried to say they were closed, when it wasn't even 5:30 yet. She gave me attitude and could careless about anything I had to say. I have never been greeted by someone friendly at this clinic. My pets will no longer be treated there, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone! You'll do yourself a huge favor by avoiding this clinic and the staff working there.

A lot of people that I know do not like this clinic, including myself. I had a friend who told me the receptionist made her feel incompetent. Dr. Roundy doesn't seem to know much. Very recently I had a friend who took her sick dog there and he just gave her a bunch of pills for her. She got a second opinion and her dog had kidney failure and was put down. She said he didn't even bother to test her. Another account a different friend of mine took her German shepherd there. She was told that she would have to get put down. She too sought a second opinion, her dog just tore a ligament and got that taken care of. My own experiences have been just as bad. The vets there just don't seem to care about the animals they see. I don't recommend this vet at all. There are other places around with much better services.

So, today we take our 15 year old Binky to Tooele Veterinary Clinic. Our dog has horrible hips and has a real hard time walking. He's mostly blind and mostly deaf. Dr McCormick was great, taking the time to check him all over and then prescribe meds to help his arthritic hips and back, including meds for pain. When we were going back to the front counter, someone opened the door and startled Binky. So he ran the wrong way and went behind counter. Dr. Roundy saw him run behind reception and yelled at Binky, then at us to get him out of there, put a leash on that dog, and complained that all dogs pee and assumed Binky would pee on their TILE floor. Binky will NOT ever pee indoors. THEN KICKED MY DOG!!! We saw it, some other customers saw it, and the ladies at the counter saw it. The lady at the counter said "Just ignore him." If you don't like animals, maybe you shouldn't be a vet or run a vet clinic!

This vet kills animals that are rescues without considering options to help save them. Recently 7 kittens were found after a fire and were all EUTHANIZED without trying to find them a foster home. Absolutely heartless and disgusting! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SERVICE!
