The freshest produce you will ever have! So many of the vegetables here simply just blow my mind. I have fallen in love with the turnips. Yes, turnips. But I love the salad mix and the peas as well. You won't be disappointed!

A vegetable is a vegetable right? Wrong! I've grown a garden off and on since childhood so I thought I knew what good vegetables were. This farm takes it to the next level. I'm currently obsessed with these turnips. They are juicy... sweet... buttery? Yup. Buttery. Careful, you might have a hard time going to the grocery produce section after this.

We've recently started to pay more attention to the food that we eat, using meal-prep and paying attention to macros to ensure that we fuel our bodies in the most efficient and healthy way. However, much of the products that our local grocers stock may also carry implications of poor farming practices. So, we try to shop local, both to ensure peak freshness and the highest ethical standard we can. Better Food Farm is a local, Ogden-based family farm using organic practices. We were lucky to try a large haul of a variety of their leafy greens (including herbs, spinach, red leaf lettuce, salad spring mix, spring onions, bok choy, and the most vibrant gorgeous radishes you've ever seen) this past week. If you think you won't be able to taste the difference between their spring mix and the kind in the plastic clamshells you get at the store, you'll be in for a serious surprise. Everything was incredibly flavorful. Also, there's something about fresh radishes that "conventionally" grown radishes can never live up to (I put conventional in quotes because, well, according to history, modern growing practices are anything but conventional). I swear you can taste all the passion and care this family puts into their produce. In speaking with the family behind this little farm, they're going to be at the Salt Lake City Farmers Market so I recommend that you look for them there.
