About Baker Dam Campground
Baker Dam Campground is a great spot for boondocking and camping. The campsites are decent size and clean with adequate space and good privacy between sites due to the trees. It is a dry campground with no running water, so campers must bring their own. There are firepits and picnic tables. The area offers great views around the sites and the reservoir, though some note a wish for better access to the water. An algae warning has kept people from fishing. Restrooms are outhouses spread around the area, described as typical campsite bathrooms with plenty of toilet paper. They are located at one end rather than centrally. The campground is about 30 minutes to town. There are no on-site hiking trails. It can be very hot in the summer with little escape from the heat, making AC recommended. Some noise issues from vehicles can occur. It is considered dog-friendly and solo campers have felt safe. Cell reception is good. Many campers would recommend it and return again.
