I took my cat there because he was in a lot of pain they refused to help him with any pain medication becouse our cat had kidney problems. He was 18 years old and we wanted him to be with us at our home when he passed away but that ain't possible with them they gave us Neurontin which calms the nerve down after giving him less than what they suggested one dose he went down couldn't walk couldn't lift his head. Meowed all the time in pain. when I called them and told them about this they said oh just double the dose. Our beloved cat never recovered from what they told me to give him ridiculous we had to put him to sleep

It is hard to get in. However, Dr. Tallbot and his staff are all incredible. They love all of the fur babies, and it shows.

On behalf of our family we want to thank (ACV) for the love, care, and professionalism each team member offers. We lost our pup Mieko in March 2023. We lost our second pup Noah September 2023. In both cases we were given the greatest care in our time of need. I wasn't aware of the LIGHT they turn on when a love one passes. This was such a blessing. You guy's are the best.

We took our beloved Cinnamon to have him put to sleep, knowing this was a difficult and sad time the staff was amazingly sweet and supportive, even allowed us to exit through the back, then sent this awesome and sweet card signed by some of the staff. Thank you for helping us put our sweet baby boy to rest with such professionalism and care.

I have never been so disrespected and ignored then at ACW vet. i was very sick, dropping my 3 dogs off at the vets before going to the ER. told them if I was admitted to the hospital I would be at Davis hospital. did not get any help, as I asked for when I brought my dogs in. 5 days later, left hospital in pain and had been through a pretty ruff time, Sunday night. took the phone off the hook in the middle of the night, to avoid sales calls. Monday morning, really feeling out of it, like I had been through the war, insides hurt with every movement, i am disabled, have trouble walking, never damage from waist down, IV had infiltrated and my body was like a big water ballon, and I had been on strong pain meds. for 5 days, no food , no water, or ice chips for 7 days. I called ACW vet and told her I couldn't handle going through the grooming salon again, could I get my dogs through the Vet office and pay over the phone, get help getting my dogs out the the car ? I explained that I got out of the hospital late last night and was in a lot of pain and just needed to get home. i also asked if i could make a suggestion that they get a voice mail or answering machine for the grooming salon phone, because it was hard to get through to ask if my dogs were eating. she had no problem with that and took my payment. I got to the office, struggled to get to the office, asked if I could sit down while they got my dogs. ist thing out of this womens mouth was she had tried to call me and couldn't get through, I asked what number did you call, she says, your home number. i told her I was in the hospital. i made it very clear on drop off which number to call and I would be hospitalized. She continues about the phone call, i can't figure out what she is so determined to be on the defensive about this call. i never mentioned anything about them calling me, only me calling them. then I wonder if she tried to call Monday morning when the phone was off the hook. So I say, I took the phone off the hook. The ladies give each other a dumbfounded look. I am unable to carry out this seemingly crazy conversation. just wanted to get home and get out of there so I could lay down and not hurt so much. a few days later I get a packet saying they can not treat my animals because I was rude. I tried calling over 6 times to talk to Vet, Talbot, or office manager, left my number, never got a callback or any response. I have been a client for 31 years, through getting my dogs an cats, 4 animals, back after boarding covered in fleas, through bad surgeries that left my dog lame and unable to go for walks, etc. The head Vet was Pearson at the time, and he was honest with me and I appreciate it, so I have continued to do business with them. I was polite enough to call to talk to them, but they have no intigraty to take a call or return one, i was not rude, but they have been many many times over the past 31 years. I figure anyone can have a rough day, I let it go. I never complained. but this is ridiculous. There is always 2 sides to a story. This women didn't bother to even say, how are you. She could only see as far as the end of her nose. Anyone could have seen how much pain I was in, and I told them.

Absolute lifesavers! Dr. Madsen was wonderful for my yearly checkup with my cat Ava (calico shorthair) the morning of 7/17, he was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and got her in and out of the appointment without delays. The front-end staff were very professional and wonderful, especially as I was having issues that kept my other cat Toothless (black longhair) from coming to his appointment.Toothless was having a medical emergency on 7/15, and when I received word the afternoon of 7/17 from the emergency vet that he needed emergency exploratory surgery. Dr. Madsen and Dr. Talbot worked to get him the surgery he needed that same day! They saved me the $4k-$6k bill that the emergency vet was quoting me, and Dr. Talbot was able to perform the surgery along with an overnight stay and all the care Toothless needed for under half the cost of the emergency vet. Dr. Talbot was also great in giving me updates about Toothless' condition along the way, and answered all my questions when I picked him up the day after surgery. He even wanted me to call the next day and give an update about how Toothless was doing at home, he really cares for his patients! Toothless is now home and recovering from surgery wonderfully. The entire staff at ACVH is awesome, especially the front end staff and Dr. Madsen and Dr. Talbot who had to deal with me while I was a nervous wreck, thank you guys for working to save my cat!Toothless is still deciding how he feels about the ecollar ?

I’m really conflicted in writing this review. Normal annual wellness and vaccines, this is a great place to go. Surgeries not so much.We left this clinic years ago after a surgery gone wrong. When I picked up my dog covered in her own blood, because, “they didn’t have time to keep an eye on her”. This resulted in her having to go through surgery to repair the damage.I decided this year, I would go back and use their services and give them another chance. We got vaccines and everything went well. I felt confident in giving them another shot in treating my dogs with more than your basic check up.So, I called today to set up a spay for my dog. I wanted it 3 months out. They asked for $100 deposit. 3 MONTHS OUT!!! Are you kidding me?!?! I get asking for a deposit. But not 3 months out.Needless to say, I guess it’s a matter of 2 strikes you’re out.

Great visit! Dr. Was very knowledgeable and caring with my cockatoo. Did an exam on my bird and recommended an exotic surgery specialist in Layton to help with the treatment. Really like the veterinarians there and the staff is great too! We boarded our Doberman there for a week when we went to Hawaii and they were really good with her. Thank you all!

Vet was great! Some of the check in staff were very rude. Very clean and organized waiting area. They also have another location south. Called Animal Care South. The vets rotate to each location. The staff at south are WAY BETTER. Also south has better emergency care.
