We had an outstanding experience thanks to Al! From the moment we walked in, Al greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. His customer service was top-notch—friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. We were in the market for a new weed eater, and Al took the time to explain the different Stihl models in detail, helping us understand not just the features but which one would be the best fit for our specific needs.

This is a tough review for me to write. I actually really like them but it drives me insane that they ask me for my phone number every time I go in. I’m buying a sprinkler head. Why do you need my number. Would you like my SSN too?
If they stopped asking I would easily change this review to five stars.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Shopping here reminds me of the old time hardware store where the staff know who you are and actually help you when you go in. Best hardware store in town. Even rough it may have that small shop feel, their selection matches that if the big box stores. They even have a selection of hard candies lol. Reminded me of going to the hardware store as a kid with dad. Definitely give them a try for your next project, you won't be disappointed.

I always I'm so impressed with the service here! I like that it's quiet and quaint but they still have everything I need. I really like that they offer propane refill, and the complimentary popcorn always hits the spot! Can't recommend this place enough.

In the world we live in there are not a lot of honest people out there. People look to make a quick buck. However you will not find this at Helm’s Ace Hardware. They take the time to know their customers, especially Steve and Tessa (sp?). They both are a wealth of knowledge and are extremely understanding and helpful. This is an establishment that I will forever be a patron of.

Great selection and great employees. Only three stars though because they are closed on Sunday. I tend to do a lot of home and yard repairs on Sunday and repeatedly wish Ace was open so I didn't have to go to Home Depot.
