“Seven Gables is a fun, cute store. Mainly I want to review the very fun Easter tea party that I attended here. The treats were tasty and the atmosphere was perfect!I took one star off because this tea party was more expensive than the Grand America afternoon tea, and the value didn't quite match what Grand America offers. But I so enjoyed it, and I would do it again--especially if it were a few dollars less.”

“Heard about this business awhile ago and finally took the time to go. It was better than I expected and my expectations were high already. My son had to go to work or I would have spent more time there. I need to go back and buy a box I had seen so I’ll be back soon. So much variety and is truly heaven for people that love vintage stuff. Owner was very cool and easy to talk to. Well worth the time to visit and I assume the inventory constantly changes so it’s worth going back often.”

“Highly recommend Ensign fine finishing. Michael is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work and makes sure it is done right and on time. I was very impressed with his attention to detail and use of quality materials. He went the extra mile for us and our dining room table now looks better than the day we bought it.”

“Workers/(maybe owners) did their best to find an item for me to purchase online for a friend. While they couldn't find it and I was able to get it still thankfully since no one bought it till I could make it back to SLC. The store is also super fun and full of wonderful items to look at it, and again the workers are wonderful. ??✨??”

It's a more than one visit type of store, we'll definitely be going back for more! I meant to take more pictures but got caught up in the moment! It even smells like antiques! Love it!”

“I haven't been to this antique store in over three years, but I'm so glad I came back. Excellent selection of items, so helpful when I had questions or wished to test electronic items, and was very fair on prices.”

“Oh, you haven't been to George's? That's why you don't believe in wizards and magic anymore. George is one of the wizards that live in our city. He holds the keys to the old ways. You can walk into the shop on 900 S, and you don't realize you're entering a portal. Do you find that the modern world - with it's disposable plastic and pervasive, unadorned grey and white surfaces leaves you feeling lonely, nostalgic for a time of craftsmanship, of wrought iron and brass and carved oak? Of things built by people who knew the value of durability, of learning to work wood and stone with their hands? George is the keeper of that world and you can come inside and breathe in the history. Maybe you just need a light switch cover from the 1940s, he has dozens. Maybe you long for leaded glass in a wood frame. He's got you. Maybe you want a solid hard wood door - wait until you see the warehouse out back. This is the anti-ikea, the antithesis of shiny and new. But if you value restoration, human-built craft that is meant to last, discovery and imagination, remembering what is possible with our better selves, George has you covered.”
