like the Mormons they won’t let you leave their cult!!! Called to canceled my account about three months ago to realized just now that they didn’t do anything after “confirming” over the phone my account was closed and credit card cancelled. They kept charging my account with fees when I destroyed and threw away my cards.

I applied for a mortgage and received a friendly nice email from the underwriter, Edgar Bernal: "Your application is important to me and I will respond to your calls/emails as quickly as I can, however, it may take 24- 48 business hours to receive a response." He has never returned a phone call (I've left messages twice in 3 weeks). I sent requested information, emails and phone messages into a black hole without reply or feedback. MACU doesn't seem to care at all about me or my mortgage application. I switched from big bank to credit union a few years ago looking for a more local customer-focused experience. I'm not asking for personal hand holding, but this mortgage contact could make even the smallest effort to meet the expectations he set out in his "welcome" email.

I called the call center and talk to the most nice lady ever, she listen to me and understood every concern I had, she was so understanding and we literally talked for 30 minutes. Her name was Liza and I felt the need to let you guys know that you guys have good people working there. I definitely loved it!
