Watch the prices at the register closely. On sale items ring at a different price.
Self checkout is a joke, their Scan and Go app is a crapshoot whether it works or not
.
Costco wins period, larger selection - and their customer service is superior to Sams.

Today, July 19th, the young lady with the darling flower design nails who helped me at the customer service desk was great. However, another (older blonde lady) employee walked up and started talking to her in the middle of my transaction and conversation. I apologize to the rude person for interrupting her, haha. She had no clue what she had done.

Terrible service on the cafe, the one in the cashier was about to charge me for a pizza when i was just going to get 2 times that was a dollar each which is crazy, then she messed up my order even though i told her TWICE the correct one and she still had the audacity to give me the order wrong, if you dont want to work there just say that, and when i went to go tell her my order was wrong she told me next time to tell them right and im like what??? it was during at 11:30 6/04 and this was the pretzel she gave me no salt no butter.

I was offered a discount Sam's Club membership. Went to Sam's Club for the first time.
As a multidecade Price Club (then) Costco member, I was dismayed.
Sam's Club is a thinly veiled Walmart knockoff of a Costco. They had every chance to do better, but hey, it's Walmart, so exploitation is the primary concern.
Exploitation of the community, of the customers, and of their own employees.
The only way Sam's Club makes any sense is that it prevents Costco from building next to Walmart, which is very much in Walmarts interests, as the last thing they want or need next door is another retailer that treats it's community, customers and employees with respect.
Sam's Club exists as a pale copy of Costco because a Walmart vs Costco comparison is a losing proposition for Walmart.

Just went in for prescription and stopped at food court. The sams club app has been updated. The update is confusing and not as straight forward as the earlier version and I could not navigate the app. It was difficult and kept taking me to areas I did not want or need. It took me about ten minutes to find the food court section and by that time I was at the counter and just finished with the order.

I always shop early when there are fewer customers. One of the clerks found just what I was looking for. Thank you

It is very bad that the chicken in the deli are now looks better cook than before and I decided to buy one and when I got home the thighs were still bleeding. I Called to let them know and the attitude from the manager was WE HAVE SPECIAL EXPERTS TO DO THAT. Yes, you might think that but this is the second time it happens to me and first time I say something but it is not about refunding money it is about doing your job right at first to avoid this problem and possible people getting sick.

Sam's Club is good for getting bulk items. They have a moderate selection of household items at a decent price.
My experience with Sam's Club used to be one of frustration. I once had a membership and canceled it because every time I went through the checkout, they would try to get me to signup for the more expensive membership. These days, however, we do everything through the app. As we shop, we scan each item. At checkout, we just pay with the app and head for the doors. We only have to wait in line a moment for the person at the door to verify our purchase (which you have to do even if you go through checkout).
Also, if you purchase from the cafe via the app, you skip the lines. There's rarely anyone else in the "Scan-and-Go" lane, so we typically skip the lines there, too.
