I’ve purchased licenses from this location in the past, so I expected the same level of service when I went in to buy a Hunter Safety voucher for my daughter. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete mess.
Earlier in the day, I was told only one customer service agent was trained to use the Fish and Game system. I came back later when she was available, but she had no idea what I was talking about. Another employee chimed in to say the system had been down for over a year and that she’d need to speak with a manager to log back in.
After speaking with the manager, the agent told me that because the system had been inactive for so long, they’d have to re-log into it—but the manager didn’t see the need to do that right now and told me to go elsewhere.
I followed the instructions from a Hunter Safety Instructor and the official website, and was met with confusion, indifference, and zero effort to help. No one took responsibility or even tried to assist me. I ended up wasting time, gas, and money trying to do something that should’ve taken five minutes.
If Smith’s is listed as a Licensed Agent, they should either train their staff properly or remove themselves from the program. Families shouldn’t be turned away when trying to follow the rules.

It is a nice place the employees are super good and it's a clean store and the parking is good and I recommend it to the next person
