Do not bank here if you every run into hard times. This bank does nothing to help its memebers when they run into issues in their personal lives. I’ve banked with them since 2008 or 2009, I have 4 accounts and they have proven over and over they are in it for your money. The over draft fees are insanely high and when you run into a problem they do not help.I’m ashamed ive stayed with this bank for long.. now I know how they have paid for their renovations.Go to America first, they treat you with respect and have a heart for their memebers who get stuck in hard times!!

We have been members with UFirst for years, and have really appreciated the service we receive. The branch manager knows us and remembers conversations we've had. When someone gained access to our account after we clicked on a bad email, the people at the credit union recognized the fraud very quickly and froze the account before too much damage was done. They were able to help us resolve it all, get new cards, and money restored to our accounts In a few days. They have been great!

What surprises me is UFIRST's ability to make updates to services and software that inexplicably make them less costumer oriented and harder to deal with. Even the update to their new, stupid name defies any logical reason (did they have a vote on whose 4-year-old could come up with the new branding?). To be specific, they have upgraded to virtual tellers (if you haven't had the displeasure of stopping in to this dystopian nexus, I would almost recommend it for the sheer horror factor) which make banking unnecessarily harder without apparently cutting cost by actually firing the tellers, just decentralizing them for a poorer and limited customer experience. They have updated their online systems, which makes them slightly better but still significantly worse than any other large branch (before they weren't competing with the big banks; now they're competing and losing). Why, then, bank with this new, shoddily virtual UFIRST? Why indeed.

Lobby is closed and their drive-thru to speak to a live teller doesn't even work. We circled around 5 times to two different lanes and neither one worked, neither one got us a live teller....and they were still open. We were there at 1:05pm wasted 15 minutes only to decide to go to another location. No one answered their phones either. Horrible experience. This deserves a 0 out of 5 instead of 1 star.

It’s Saturday 08/06/2022. On the website it’s mentioned that this branch closes at 2:00pm on Saturday. I arrived to the door 6 minutes before 2:00pm and the doors were already locked. You couldn’t see anyone inside, which tells me they were gone a long time ago!I ran to the drive through. Same result. Nobody there.What a waste of MY time and gas.What a MEDIOCRE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Zero Stars for this branch!

Their customer service is impressively bad to where they don’t care and hope you don’t care enough to make them fix a mistake. Also they push online banking way too hard, this isn’t even my main banking institution, but they are the worst one lol. So of course I’m not going to get in deeper with them.

I use the UniversityCU location near wherever I happen to be. To their credit (no pun intended) all of them seem to be run very well. I have had extremely courteous, knowledgeable people in all offices. Supervisors work with tellers more quickly and with more awareness than any financial institution I have worked with. I did a car loan at West Jordan that should have been a complicated mess but instead went smoothly, indeed. 5-Star ++ and much gratitude.

We have been to this location twice in the past few months. We needed some checks, just for rent, and they requested that we go inside to get checks. Both times now multiple people have not been wearing masks, or wearing masks improperly. You can't keep a mask around your chin and then pull it up as you deal with customers. Especially if there is a gentleman behind the counter just walking back and forth without one even on his person. Masks are mandatory now, and if I have to come in wearing a mask, the bankers should be wearing them while in the building.If Lady GaGa can perform for four hours in a mask, you can wear a mask during an 8 hour shift while you talk about what pizza to order for lunch.

I have been using this West Jordan location for 18 years, and have always been very pleased with their excellent customer service! Lana, the manager, is very friendly, and professional, and always takes the time to help me when I have financial questions. Her staff is very friendly and helpful, and I appreciate everyone of them!
