Had to buy boneless thighs from the meat counter because they're very rarely stocked. Not joking, the meat was bad by Monday, smelling sulfuric.
The most consistently terrible part of Smith's (other than the stupid trend of every store only doing sales/coupons through their app) is the bakery. It is abysmal. Trying to buy a simple sourdough loaf is impossible - they are the densest boules I've ever seen, like, it looks like regular white bread. None of the loaves, french or otherwise, have a nice firm crust.
The staff is always friendly and nice and it's obviously not their fault that Kroger doesn't know how to stock meat or provide proper baking instructions.

Pick up orders are sometimes rough with produce. I prefer to shop myself, though. Love this store.

I was behind a customer who's item rang up with the incorrect price. The cashier had no solution except to ask the customer to go check the price on the shelf, all the way back in the meat department. I stood there patiently, warning other customers that this line might take extra time, until the woman came back. The cashier spent a long time looking at the photo the customer took of the price, then chatting about how she was going to get the item because that was a good deal, with no urgency. Then she walked away, without saying where she was going. The customer she was helping didn't know where she went and hadn't gotten her receipt. I looked and the cashier was at the end of the check lanes talking to someone when the receipt came out, then the cashier disappeared. I handed the customer her receipt because our cashier was no where in sight. She came back about 20 seconds later and was shocked when I was loading my groceries back in my cart, because she claimed that she told us she was going to get an override, but neither me nor the customer in front of me heard her say that.
How is the customer walking to the back of the store the best way to get a price check? How does Smith's not have a better option in that situation? Why are the cashiers not more concerned with the time of their customers?

Lots of great merchandise at good prices. Love the fuel rewards. Great bakery and deli. The app makes savings easy. Pharmacy is great and pharmacy personnel are helpful and friendly. Pharmacy pickup drive thru is a nice benefit.

So when you have 6 minutes to close. Your manager Julie, who literally walked to the front door with me, said you were closed once I reached the door. I could have been in and out with some chicken in less time than what was left on the clock. But I was denied a sale, I would have been reprimanded when I was younger for closing before the time. So I hope this is seen by upper management. It's not like you have a kitchen to even shut down like a restaurant.

The Wi-Fi in the store never works and I feel a little uncomfortable when the guy dressed up as a girl goes in the girls bathroom

Market like Fred Meyer. Prices were rather expensive. Store was clean and organized. Service was nice.

Have had very good experience over the past but the shelf was stocked incorrectly and the customer service Representative was very rude about giving me a refund when the coupon clearly said it was a certain percent of love this grocery store just don’t think attitude like that should be acceptable In the grocery business
