About Avian Sanctuary and Protection
Avian Sanctuary and Protection is a non‑profit that cares for injured and older birds. The person who runs it is knowledgeable and helpful. Visitors find the place friendly and easy to get to. They love birds and want to make a difference. The sanctuary has treated an injured seagull, a sparrow, a collared dove, a baby bird named Albirdo, and a small nestling. The person handled each animal with great care. Many volunteers have helped, though some have been hurt carrying food. The place has a blue fence, and Google Maps can misdirect. Some people say the DWR has arrested the person for caring for needy birds and killed 84 birds without testing for avian flu, calling it a travesty. The sanctuary asks for donations, with a Venmo QR code attached. It is a place where people who love birds can adopt, volunteer, or donate.
