“Interesting. First time I a DAB Utah State owned liquor store. The line started back the the store, far from the registers. Also, an armed security guard hung out by the registers. Not a bad experience, just a bit over the top.”
“Stopped in here because me friend accidentally opened and drank a bottle that he had been saving for years.
Unfortunately i couldn't replace it ,but Matt was nice enough to help me choose the correct bottle that could soften the pain of the loss ..

“I arrived at 09:00 for a 11:00 delivery and they gave me a door and had me on my way in 35 minutes. Nice friendly staff. It would be a five star, but it looks like it would be a bit challenging if it were busy. I got lucky with empty docks and empty street.”
“This store is clean and well organized. Most important, though, Suzana went above and beyond helping me the last time I was here.
I came in looking for falernum, a liqueur used in various tropical drinks, having never seen it in a Utah liquor store. Suzana had never seen it, either, but they looked it up for me. Failing to find it available for sale at any DABS location, they said they'd look into whether I could request a special order. A few minutes later, they came out of the back with a hand-written list of all the brands available for special order via the state, including SKUs and prices so that I could easily locate them on the DABS website. They were an absolute sweetheart, and I'm so grateful for the service they provided.

“Extremely awesome. One of the spots I've walked into in Salt Lake City that has a real authentic like subculture vibe. They have these awesome big white gramophone type speakers where they were pumping this awesome like UK grime music. The woman at the counter said her husband is an audiophile and metal worker and that he made the speakers. I said it would be a great environment to host a party in.”

“I ventured into Rocky Mountain Mixers doing some recon work on materials and pricing for a catered/bartended event that I was hosting for 120+ people. Doug was super helpful and knowledgable with the products carried in their store. Even knowing items that would be delivered later that week if we needed them.
He also gave me his contact information for the store and offered to set some things aside if I needed them. It was a huge help when planning an event of that size.
I'll also note that they not only offered great products, they were also at the best price around!

“I saw some unusual signage walking into the store notifying customers any backpacks must be placed at the front of the store I’m assuming for retrieval after completing a purchase and that’s fine. I asked a clerk exactly where I should place it and he said “you’re fine, don’t worry about it.” Which was reassuring especially since they’ve obviously had problems w/some brazen booze hounds who like to spend their money on stuff besides booze.🤔”

“I have been coming here for years and there is a very clear reason why. While this store might not be as big as some of the others, I find the selection of wine here incredibly robust. But what really keeps me coming back is the staff. Every time I walk into the store, I am greeted with kind, smiles, and the staff never feels pushy when helping me pick out a wine.
Tonight the store manager, Isobel, helped me pick out a Prosecco and a sparkling wine, and it was a magical experience! I was in and out in no time at all with bottles I feel confident bringing to Thanksgiving. The whole thing was under five minutes, I never once felt pressured to buy more and Isobel really listened to what I was looking for in my alcohol choices.
The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and I would recommend anyone who needs a little extra support in picking out a bottle come here.”
“We have been using Canteen at our company for quite a while now and I love them! Restocking the drinks at my office is not my favorite thing to do, so having Canteen is amazing!!! Our driver, Brittney is the BEST! She’s super reliable and is always able to help me with any requests I have. If I want to change out the sodas, she can quickly tell me if they are able to get the drink I want, and she’ll tell me which products are slow
moving so that we can replace new the drink with the less popular one. Shes only here once a week but knows my drink fridge better than me, who is here M-F 😂 Anyway, Canteen is great and have been very happy with their services!”

“The store was not busy. Inspite of that, there was a sizable line. That was eventually addressed, so that by the time I was ready to check out, the line was much shorter.
Organization seemed a bit confusing. I was looking for boxed wine. I found some in one area, but it wasn’t what I wanted. It wasn’t until I looked one the other side of a wall, that I found the rest of the selections.
It would have been helpful to have all of the product in one place or minimally, some signage.”
“Attractive modern building, well organized. A bottle of Utah-made gin (taste: meh), something I'd not have found anywhere else, was a good novelty gift to take back to my home state.”

“Big store, very nice selection for a Utah DABC. And I guess I don't drink much anymore, because when did it become legal to have refrigerators in liquor stores? I'm not complaining, I just didn't know--the much smaller liquor store nearer to where I live doesn't have any refrigerated drinks, so I thought it was still against state law for liquor stores to sell them. I guess I'll be making the trip to WVC city a little more often.”
