Went in today to get some stuff for my dog. Probably some treats and toys. But before I started shopping, I asked an associate where the restroom was and he proceeds to tell me that they didn't have 'public restrooms'. I came to shop not use the restroom it just saw happened that nature called. I said ok and told him "that sounds weird in this city". I'll see what the city code officials think about this 'policy'. You lost a lot of money today Petco. Terrible. You're customer service is just like your restroom policy. Garbage.

Don't go here. I set up and appointment for 3 year rabies shots and asked if I needed to bring records in. They said no, but when my son got there they tricked him into doing 1 year rabies shots so they could get more money with no regard for my pets wellbeing. They just try and force all kinds of stuff pets don't need and find ways to make a buck. Don't trust them with your fur babies.

The West Valley Petco is the worst Petco I've ever been too. Before purchasing over $100.00 worth of merchandise. I inquired as to where the restrooms were located. The employee looked me over and promptly replied that they didn't have any restrooms. I again inquired about the public restrooms upon checkout. I was told very rudely by another employee that they didn't have any restrooms. When I pressed her as to where the employees went to the bathroom. She told me that they did have restrooms but that they are so dirty that she didn't even feel comfortable using it herself. Bottom line I think I will start shopping at Petsmart from now on. I'm sure they treat their customers a lot better.

I took my dog here on Sunday, the 23rd of April 2023. To start off, my appointment was at 9 am I arrived early and when a few minutes before 9 the lady came to the door and said they were not in yet and they were calling someone to come to do the grooming 9:30 they showed up. When they looked at my poodle, they said she would need a shortcut, but when I picked her up, she was shaved completely to the point she was an itching mess. When I got her home, her ear lobes were swollen on the end and have since turned into scabs as if she had them pinched by the groomer she was and is still a nervous wreck to the point she yelps and feels like she has to sneak up on her food and water to eat and drink it. To sum it all up, she is a completely traumatized animal. I have never seen her this way. I totally advise against going here. Appointments times don't matter as they are late to work and your dog will not be a happy one when you bring them home. Terrible

Don’t trust them! The free first appointment is a lying! They have hidden loop holes to make you pay!Do yourself a favor and go to Petsmart!Better prices, better selection, and better service!

Very clean and organized. All the employees were friendly and helpful. I especially like that Petco has signs above all the different animal sections

Drove 30mins to grab 2seconds worth of fish barley 30mins before closing and "apparently we cannot sell animals 30 mins to closing". We had originally asked and they got the bags ready and everything. Then decided to tell us never mind. After we asked already and they said sure! Left with no fish. Waste of time.

Such a great experience every time with grooming here. M'lyssa always does such an amazing job on both my large dogs grooming appointments. I have many other groomers I could take them to that are way closer to my house but I will always drive the extra 30 minutes to take them to her and know they are being loved and treated well. Five stars all the way!!

Petco is currently offering curbside pick up, which I accessed to purchase a fish tank and some supplies (and I also returned another time for fish food when I freaked out because my new fish weren't eating and I was convinced it was because I wasn't offering them enough variety). I ordered online and got a discount for picking up as opposed to the shipping option. I got a text message confirming my order immediately and both times my order was ready within 30 minutes! When I arrived at the store, the process was very simple. I called inside, told them my name and described my car, someone came out within 3 minutes and put the items in my trunk, and that was it! So easy and quick. I will for sure be back for all of my fish needs (which may not happen too soon because now my spoiled fish have a billion different foods).

I DO NOT recommend stepping foot into this Petco location. The staff is less then helpful. I was informed what's on the shelf is it and nothing more will be coming in. Honestly this type of comment makes me believe that either they're not going to stay open for much longer or their employees just don't care. I asked if I could special order a 50# dog food storage container and there was no response the young lady just walked away. All I can say is WOW Petco you better get your staff in check!! I will never step foot into this location again!!

We enjoy coming here. The staff is really friendly, the store has a large selection of animal products and our dogs really like the treats the employees give them whenever we come. My only issue would be their lack of parking.

The store is clean and the employees are normally accommodating. However, recently I had uncomfortable experience with manager Alonso for my refund. He acted irritated and unfriendly when he was asked to refund my Pet reward. He couldn't do it and told me to call the cooperate number on the receipt. He refused to call the number for me and challenged me to complain this online if I wasn't happy. The manager should be more customer-service friendly.

I'm here only to review their Adult 1 Class with Tanya. We were lucky in that we signed up for a group class that never filled up. We received one on one training for six weeks. I reviewed 5 nearby pet trainers, between Petco, Petsmart, and local trainers. It was comparably easier to arrange a meeting with me, my dog, and the trainer with Petco. I brought my dog to meet Tanya and she loved her instantly. One thing I noticed that Tanya did was get down on her knees to welcome my dog. No other trainer did this during out interview process. My dog lit up to this type of greeting , and for a while stopped being crazy. I also went with Tanya because of how she responded when I expressed my concerns and anxieties for being a first time dog owner. My dog is very nervous and energetic, and I was thin on patience. She was very calm and encouraging throughout every training session. She always had a good reading on my dog; she had many calm, positive, and firm methods for regaining my dogs attention. Tanya showed me training can be a fun opportunity to bond with your dog. My dog especially looked forward to greeting Tanya every week. Tanya showed me how to teach obedience to my dog firmly and patiently. No good behavior went unrewarded, and no bad behavior went without positive redirection. Tanya was happy to answer any and all questions I had. She also had a lot of helpful anecdotes. I think for some it should be noted that she is willing to help you train your dog with a clicker, although we did not. We talked and practiced positive reward training with the phrases "yes" and/or a snap.
