“This was probably our favorite shop in downtown Woodstock. We walked in and were greeted warmly and spent a few minutes walking around looking at the beautiful works - the train, ornaments and different tinkling bells. I ended up purchasing a Christmas themed candle holder for my mother that had tiny acorns around the base, but many of the thoughtful ornaments really called to me, so I'll definitely be looking them up again come holiday time! Overall, a really beautiful warm store that if you're in the area you should definitely stop into.”
“So, these are the pies my niece is craving during her pregnancy. We are making the drive monthly from Pompey NY to satisfy her sweet tooth. Have to admit I’m happy to do it because I love them too! Love this place❤️”
“I have SO MANY good things to say about this place! The employees are all freaking fantastic, super sweet and make you feel very welcome! They have amazing samples and great locally sourced products from Vermont! As a born and raised Vermonter I love it! It’s also not too pricey either and I don’t think it is too touristy at all! Love love love!!! (They also have an online storefront and e gift cards! I ask for one for my birthdays and Christmas gifts)”

“Absolute gem in Vermont. I had been hunting for some mementos of our trip on the drive home to Canada when we happened to drive through Middlebury. This isn't your regular cheap gift shop. They had beautiful, unique items. I got some great vermont prints, a one of a kind handmade book, and the icing on the cake waits for you when you discover the back porch! What a view of the falls. Highly recommend stopping in here.”
“A treasure hidden in plain view! After passing the trading post at least 100 times, we finally paused our commute and visited and we are glad that we did.
First, the Trading Post carries Sugarbush Farms cheese from Woodstock VT which is the best cheese that you will ever taste!
Second, the Post is deceptively large and offers a nice assortment of Vermont goods and clothing. The items are NOT overpriced and are pleasantly eclectic.
Hidden in the back of the post is a mini golf Oasis. The mini golf feels like it was a passion project and cleverly uses the topography of the land and natural elements to complete the fairytale feel.
Don’t wait to visit!”
