Alburgh Dunes State Park is a pleasant and kid-friendly state park with a long, groomed, and sandy beach along Lake Champlain. The water is notably shallow for a long way out with a mostly sandy bottom, making it great for swimming and especially safe for little ones. It features a nice, small playground and a slide on the bank. The park offers amazing views and is a barrier beach with dunes and bogs, plus a nice hiking trail with plenty of birds and native plants. Amenities include picnic tables with stationary grills, a picnic area along the beach, and restrooms or changing rooms, though portable sanitation units are sometimes in use. The beach is wheelchair accessible and even provides a special wheelchair for the sand. Visitors should note that the beach size can vary with water levels and dogs are not allowed when the park is open. It is a clean, family spot perfect for summer and fall days.
A friend and I had a chance to X-C ski there this week and it was super. There's a bike/snowmobile trail that goes along the shoreline and into some fields. Definitely worth the visit after a good snowfall.

Nice place to visit. They have a small recreational area and a nice beach to enjoy. There was plenty of parking the day I visited.
