We travel to Barre Vermont for Christmas with the family. We stayed at Maplecroft B&B. It was a very home like feeling staying there. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The owner Caryn is very professional, friendly and a great cook. We had a very delicious farm to table breakfast that was herb scrambled eggs with sausage patty, English muffins and fresh fruit. There was fresh OJ and cranberry juice, decaf or regular coffee, ice water, yogurt and homemade granola. Also offered was preserves, jam and jellies from local farms. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back again!

If you have the opportunity, definitely book your next stay in the Barre/Montpelier area at the Maplecroft! You will find an incredibly hospitable host, wonderful breakfast meals with locally sourced ingredients, very comfortable rooms with excellent amenities, not to mention the very convenient location - the Maplecroft has it all! We stayed here for the holiday weekend of 2023 and would love to repeat the experience once more! Cannot recommend this place enough.

I was impressed! Super comfortable, warm and quiet, Caryn is friendly, personable and a great source of information for the surrounding area. Hands down the best B and B we have stayed at. I cant say enough good about her.Walkability: Five minute walk to downtown

Caryn is the BEST. We stayed in the suite above the garage (Robert Burns) and it is huge, with a full kitchen and plenty of supplies. If you're on Google like we were looking for a place to stay, you've found it. Breakfast was amazing and the whole atmosphere was perfect.

My husband found the place for our weekend hiking trip. From first impressions, it is a quaint Victorian with character. Rooms are good overall, bed was comfortable. Noticed some holes in the wall, and picture that stored in one of the drawers, and a paperclip in one of the safety lights. Owner was unprofessional as she lectured a guest when they asked if they had an item, and was rather rude. She apologized but just left a bad flavor to the trip. Won't be coming back.

Carolyn, the owner, is so hospitable… she made me feel as though we were friends.Location-wise, the grilled cheese place (tap house) across the street!!! Off the cheese!

Our first time staying and it was a real treat. The suite (Robert Burns), was beautifully and tastefully furnished. The layout was easy and comfortable. The old house is well maintained and updates and conveniences nicely blend heritage and modernity. We were personally welcomed and received a tour upon arrival. There's a farm-to-table approach to the included breakfast. We were fortunate to be here on a "pancake" morning; the fresh buttermilk cakes and Vermont maple syrup were delicious and memorable. We will definitely be staying again.

While our room was upgraded upon arriving, the demeanor of our hostess was abrasive & we felt uncomfortable. The rooms have what you need for a decent stay and are clean, but the decor is dated. There is a public room with a tv for the guest's enjoyment, but the hostess's office is right next to it, so we could hear every word of her phone conversations.Breakfast was okay. She makes different things each morning.

Caryn was a wonderful host! Sho offered lots of suggestions of places to visit. Parking on the backside of the house. Rooms were clean and comfortable, coffee, water and other amenities were available to her guest. Great place to eat just across the street called Meltdown! You must go there!

This B&B was much better than I thought it would be! The house is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are spotless, the beds are comfortable. The lady running the place is very nice and cooks a great breakfast that's different every morning. Highly recommend!

Karen is a delightful hostess and cook! The house is so well appointed, our bed was super comfortable, and Karen's breakfasts are noteworthy. Plus the location is within easy walking distance to the downtown Barre district. Would happily stay there
