This is a great place to worship with kids programs, emergency food pantry, soup kitchen, women’s program. The salvation offers a lot of programs aside from just social services.

A donation visit to drop a few things off. Staff was cordial and helpful. An easy to find location in Barre.

It's a nice place to go to the Salvation Army is a place where you can go and get help they help people who has low income and they also have camps that you can send your children to and it is in the Poconos they also have a lot of glasses that you can do at the Salvation Army you can sink Lowes food gifts for people who don't have money to buy their children stop for Christmas or birthdays and Salvation Army takes a lot of donations for families with low income and Salvation Army has been around for a very very long time and they help people who are in need and they will go beyond the way to help you. And I really love this place because I got to have the opportunity to send my son to Salvation Army in Fairmont so he can go to the camp for to the Poconos and the people there are nice and friendly and they will help you with whatever you need they will help you with financial needs they will help you budget your money and whatever you need to have for your family and friends. Thank you very much for your hospitality service that you give to your people each and every day in the community from Salvation Army and God bless you guys all for the work you do for people all over the world who are in need need for things they need to live on for their family.

Soup kitchen closes 45 minutes earlier than what the sign says. They say they are open until 2:00 but close at 1:15. I went to try to get lunch today but as soon as I arrived the volunteer was driving away.

I used to stop at the store at least a couple times a week but the crooks that have run it the past few years have driven business away and I went to the church services also but the church has changed and barely has life unless your a drunk or junkie that just needs a hangout. I live next door to the salvation army church and am so disappointed in the things I see and don't see in this church that so many loved at one time. I visited the church a while back and was shocked at how many people were just hanging cause the cook was a friend of theirs. My children were raised with the salvation army in their lives, all their lives and now they have children, my grandchildren and unfortunately the way things are going in this church we don't feel comfortable bringing the children there. I ran into a woman who ran different programs and drove the van to pick up people for church services for the salvation army and many other things she did for the church, as a matter of fact she was amazing and the church was thriving and she was telling me she would love to get things going again but she needed some of the volunteers that have been there to step out, we need someone to step up and help to revamp this church and she is the lady that can do it. We sang, we praised, we smiled, we cried, we loved this church, we came together in this church.

This use to be one of my favorite places to shop but not any more, the used items are overpriced and the selection is poor. Its behind me why some people think its ok to put high end prices on things that were donated free? It makes no sense and now that it has become a franchise guess where the money is going, it's not going back into the community where it is suppose to go! Needless to say I do not shop there any more!
