Went to midas of Bennington vt to check my brakes they greeted me promptly and were very professional with their assessment had them replaced with new ones.they finished on the same day very pleased with the work and how polite they were would recommend them to anyone who needs their car fixed.

Always friendly and professional. Fair pricing and they don't tell you that you need something when you don't actually need it. Clean and welcoming waiting area. Clean and well stocked restroom. Coffee available in waiting area. No loud television while you're waiting.

I had a positive experience here, from a quick diagnosis of a brake problem to completed repair about four hours later. Not cheap, but a fairly quick turn around time. Would recommend to others.

Very good experience. The staff and owner are very friendly and knowledgeable about the services that they provide. Would have been 5 stars if the prices weren't so much higher than what we were used to (in northeastern CT) before moving back home to VT.
Update: the owner is extremely knowledgeable, and the people in the garage do great work and are always courteous. You get what you pay for.

I don’t normally do these types of posts but I am so unbelievably defeated and disappointed in this Midas establishment, specifically about being lied to my face from a place I thought I could trust.
I called to schedule an alignment because of a recommendation from a closer garage. I have used Midas for service in the past but had determined it would be easier to use a closer (15-20 minute) garage for tires versus the 45 minute drive to Bennington.
I decided to schedule the alignment and added on an oil change, inspection, and a tire service because I ironically got a “tire pressure” warning the day after scheduling my alignment. I dropped my vehicle off and was even able to use a loaner on my Saturday off so I could watch a movie with my son so our trip wasn’t just for the car. Upon returning to the shop and checking out, I realized my bill was smaller than I anticipated. They did not charge for the alignment or tire repair (we found a nail in the tire on the way to the shop). I confronted Vern and was told that they didn’t do an alignment because I would just “need” a second alignment once I changed my tires since these tires were no longer good (3rd season of use on studded snows). In addition, Vern told me he didn’t charge me for the repaired tire because they were “junk”. I was upset because I didn’t get the alignment I needed, the original reason for my appointment, but thankful they didn’t charge me for the plugged tire. Upon getting back to the vehicle, a technician followed and wanted to check my tire because he took lunch break when my car was being worked on. He said he wanted to make sure it was fixed. He said I was good to go.
Upon speaking with my boyfriend (diesel mechanic certified) and multiple other people, I was informed a second alignment wouldn’t be needed as the tires would not have an effect on the alignment. This is hugely disappointing that I was lied to about why they didn’t complete the alignment.
Each day after my visit on 3/9, my tire PSI has dropped. After inspecting it this morning (3/15), we found the nail was still in the same spot as where it was originally. No fix had been done, which I was not charged for, so no harm no foul? However, I brought my car to be serviced specifically at a location that I previously trusted, where I was lied to, and half of the services I specifically requested to have done (and the reason I needed the appointment in the first place) were not done. As someone who lives on rural roads and 15-20 minutes away from my nearest tire air pump, I’m so disappointed. I’ll invest in a good 12v pump because of this endeavor but at this point, I’ll no longer bring my business to this Midas station.
ETA: I was contacted by the manager, Vern, which I appreciate as he was the one who dealt with me. He offered a resolve which likely would be very fair, but I still just don’t feel right about the situation. I’ll continue to take my vehicle elsewhere unfortunately.

RIP OFF ARTISTS!!!Got a full brake job done there for $1,300 in September of 2022, with a year warranty. In November 2023 I started having brake issues. I brought my vehicle back. I was told I was months out of warranty, needed another FULL SET of brakes, my vehicle was dangerous to drive as they all had brake fluid on them but they would help out by partially honoring the warranty and it would be $1,500. I declined. I brought my vehicle to another, reputable, brand name service center in Manchester, VT and they fixed my brakes for $245!!!

Bennington Midas has a great staff who know what they are doing and take the time to explain everything. Had an emergency and got the car to them at closing. They drove my daughter home. Kept me informed the next day, got the repairs done and stayed late for us to pick it up.

Vern and his team at Bennington VT Midas have been nothing but absolutely wonderful every time I have had to bring my car in for work. They always have the job done sooner than expected and I am always given great information tgat is easy to understand regarding my vehicles condition as well as options for how to proceed that always have my financial situation in mind. They are always friendly and fast and have been my main go to mechanic after trying several other locations in town. And any time Vern and his team hasn't been able to accomodate a need of mine, he has always referred me to someone he trusts to get the job done right. The best !
