Very helpful and thoughtful, always ready to answer any question you have. They always let you know when your prescription has been filled and can be picked up.

I travel back and forth from NYC to Vermont to be with my son. I stopped in the Price Chopper in Bennington, Vermont on 5 OCT 2021 close to 10 pm. There was a very young woman and a young man working. Even though it was late They were very helpful, attentive, and pleasant. Most people young and old at this hour working would have been standoffish, tired, and reserved. You could tell they took their job seriously. Excellent job! Way to represent and awesome professionalism. Thank you.

Too many non-maskers in there, including employees and a cashier. I understand that it's not a law, but I prefer not to shop in places that are filled with anti-vaccine and maskers. I would rather not chance getting Covid thank you very much.

I haven't been here in a while, but i'm pretty sure Price Chopper in Bennington is open all day everyday, so that's pretty good. It has good food but I prefer Hannafords. Price Chopper is still good so, I'm not saying don't go to Price Chopper, but I think Hannafords is a little bit better. Their food is usually pretty good. If it's really late, I would recommend this store because its open 24/7, so yeah. That's why this store should be like 3-4 stars.

Last several trips they did not have the express lane open and with all of the activity in the other three lanes needed to use the self-serve which had glitches each time mostly with coupons!

Last three visits, NO Express open, other 4 checkouts with large orders forcing small item count to use self checkout. Have encountered issues with self checkout each time !

Buyer beware... Price Chopper seems to be "jacking up prices" to an unreasonable level with associated sales on the same items. My fault for sure - but just paid 6.69 for a 12 pack of basic canada dry seltzer water. Looks like they now require you to buy the full sale promotion quantity to get a sale price (rather than offering the sale price on one unit). I was already turned off by Price Chopper and visited for convenience - won't make that mistake again. How about just reasonable, fair, straight forward pricing?

Price Chopper apparently no longer follows Vt Law in sale items, plus has reduced the gas program and made it confusing.

Absolutely belongs in it's location next to Walmart, it is the discount damaged goods version of a supermarket. horrendous staff, unknowledgeable, unintelligent and really an embarrassment to America. Truly. the bakery used to be wonderful, honestly it was. We stopped and picked up Market 32 Gourmet pies, and they were inedible. What they have done I imagine, is contract with a centralized mass bakery who uses real fruit but makes up on the price point by using some industrial oil lubricant as an egg wash. It is disgusting and leaves a horrible after taste in your mouth as well as a funky, not quite right texture to the pie. you don't know if it's the batch that was supposed to have been throw out or has some maniac messed with the food in the store, spraying something on the pies and closing them back up? the apple was even worse and sealed in a plastic vacuum bag it had to definitely been messed with at the factory where they bake these things and then label them for price chopper and prisons. It tastes even now like it's an industrial fluid on my teeth. I think in the other half of the bakery slash warehouse that they make price chopper pies in they also have a business that involves burning old tires. Burnt tire with a hint of old axle grease is the flavor that clings to each pie with a nice finish like a razor blade hitting your tongue. Just go to Fresh Market and be done with it! someone needs to burn Vermont to the ground. It's too late to fix it, just burn it and start over. Oh, the news just said that Price Chopper has an offer to be bought out by Albertson's Supermarkets, who oddly enough has mainly been taken over by Shaws, so maybe MAYBE they will fix this disgusting degenerate of the backwaters of America up ...maybe.

I rarely shop at the Bennington Price Chopper. The main reason is the sketchy , unkempt help and cleanliness. For instance, last Fall, they had a filthy guy working behind the counter at the prepared food/pizza section. This guy, like all the others there, never put on a pair of gloves to handle food, etc. He would just take the money from customers, handle food with the same dirty hands, and continue on. Then he would go back to making pizzas with his bare hands. I have watched this procedure time and time again, reported it to the manager, and yet it continues. Today I purchased a ready-made turkey bacon wrap . The bacon was not cooked! Seriously???? They can't put the bacon in the microwave for a minute and cook it? No, they just slap a piece of raw bacon on the sandwich, slather it with mayo so it is soggy and put it in the case. If I didn't live 10 miles away, I would have returned it. So Price Chopper, not only are you over-priced because of the bogus gas program, ( just about every item is 25cents - $1 more than neighboring stores, sometimes even more) your store is dirty as are many of the employees. Your Personnel manager ought to open his eyes.
