I have been going to the Country Animal Hospital since 1994. They have cared for several feline and canine family members of mine. My new rescues will be taken here as well because of how they have addressed emergencies, well checks and because of how extremely compassionate they have been with end of life issues. There is also an extreme piece of mind to be able to board your animal at the same facility where they see their doctors.Thank you for ALL that you do. I look forward to having you care for the new additions to my family.Sincerely,Gemmah

Dr. Keady helped me prepare my dog (and myself) for her export to Taiwan. She went above and beyond what you would expect from even the best of vets. I genuinely cannot have asked for better care. You're not going to find veterinary care better than here.

Botched my appointment time, unauthorized they sent my dogs records to another Vet. Cancelled my appointment for 2 , mud season 3 miles dirt Rd 7 miles tar one way . Return at 4:20 with entire clan 3 dogs and a 9 year old granddaughter. Saw doctor eventually. No concession on Bill for all my trouble. Front desk hen house mess.

I've taken my vet-fearing cat here twice: once for a general check-up and once because she was sick. Both times the vet techs and vet treated my cat quickly and with a great deal of care. A particularly telling moment was when they had to draw a blood sample, and I asked if I could be there because my presence calms my cat down. They actually agreed, saying they'd try the draw once on their own, then if that didn't work, they'd draw my cat's blood in the check-up room with me. Instead of trying to push through my cat's discomfort, the vet tech listened to my concerns and tailored my cat's treatment to her specific needs. Sure enough, the blood draw went much smoother the second time. I love this kind of diligence, and because of it, I trust their care even more. My cat may never like the vet, but I think this office is the closest she will get to having a good experience. I was certainly pleased with the outcome.

Had I written this review yesterday it would have been different. I have been using Country Animal Hospital for 19 years now for the care of my pets (cats and dogs). I have always felt like they cared and I have always enjoyed my interactions with the staff there. Over the weekend our almost 10 year old golden retriever Kato has had excessive thirst (drinking a full large bowl of water at a time) and had some accidents in the house. He has lost weight so quickly that certain bones are now extremely visible. He is not eating much and lacks energy for anything but going outside to potty. I called Country Animal Hospital at 7:30 (when they open) and got the answering message that they were not open yet. I called back at 7:33 (got the same message). I called back yet again at 7:36 and was put on hold for a long time. When the person finally attended my call they had no available appointments for emergencies for today. I asked if I could get him in tomorrow and she said I would have to call tomorrow morning to try to get in. She said it’s first come first serve. She suggested I try a place in Lebanon, NH. I told her I wanted to speak to Dr. Keady and would appreciate if she left a message for her from me. I decided to call back at 9:30 (again put on hold for awhile) and ask if I could get an appointment for a sick visit within the next week. She told me that wait was 4-5 weeks long and my only choices were to try to be the first to call in the morning. She said the doctors actual set the standards for scheduling and they can’t book emergent visits the day before. I said “Ok” and hung up the phone. I was beyond frustrated and feel like if they are so busy that they are turning away the patients they have had for almost 10 years that maybe they shouldn’t be taking in new patients. I feel like everyday I call I will be up against the chance that they actually turn the phones on when they are open or that I don’t get put on hold and they take someone else’s call first. This is no way to treat a family and patient who have spent thousands of dollars making sure their pets are cared for only to have to go elsewhere when they actually need immediate care. The website describes when you should bring your pet in and that they take care of all your pets needs. Well, this is not actually true because you can’t get your pet in unless you want to wait weeks. I am happy to say that I have and appointment for today at another animal hospital close by. Apparently, it is too much to ask Country Animal Hospital to care for my senior dog when he is sick. Really disappointed that I am now needing to switch providers because of ridiculous scheduling restrictions and taking in more patients than they should.
