Staff is always extra helpful in helping me find objects I want to buy. Even if I don’t ask for help, they check with me to see if I am finding what I need. They are very knowledgeable about the items in the store and will even advise me if there is an alternative or better choice for my needs.
I really like these folks and their clean and well stocked store.

The best hardware store around! Our family has shopped at Brown and Roberts for generations. BUT, recently Bibens Ace Hardware, who has owned B&R for some time, sold to Aubuchon's mega network. The website link now connects to Aubuchon's hardwarestore.com main page where Brown and Roberts is no longer listed, so you can't check inventory or make orders online. Aubuchon's please get your act together here!

If in need of a hardware store, look no further. Brown & Roberts is the last of a breed of a store that cares. B&R staff are some of the most knowledgeable people in the business. Can't find something? Just ask and they'll walk you to it and wait to see if you have any questions. Not sure what product is best for your project? Run it by them and they'll have suggestions. It's an old timey store with a feel that they're there just for you. Plus the kitchen/gadget section always has what I can't find in other stores, all good quality. They'll also order for you if something is not in stock. All staff are great, but Deb deserves a shout out twice now sanding a metal project of mine at no charge.

I’ve rehabbed houses all over NH and this is the first time I’ve ever been in a hardware store that doesn’t carry any lighting fixtures. Not even a simple ceiling light.

So glad the takeover by ACE changed NOTHING (at least that we can see). Great, helpful staff, all the stuff you need, loyalty points, and an atmosphere that makes you wanna come here instead of feeding the evil online monster. (Or at least purchase it from their own website!).
