The Covered Bridge Inn is a budget hotel that offers very good value for the money. It is a clean place with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms, and the staff is super nice and helpful. The rooms are kept up and can be quite nice, sometimes featuring very new appliances like a refrigerator and microwave, along with a great TV with cable. The building is flanked by several convenient fast-food restaurants. However, the hotel is a bit rundown and is clearly a work in process. Some rooms, particularly those with carpet, can feel very humid or damp, leading to a damp smell. Despite being smoke-free, some rooms still carry an odor of past smoking, and a thorough cleaning is still required in places. The breakfast is basic, just bagels and cereal, and the small breakfast room can get crowded. The provided toaster is slow and annoying. Parking can be crowded and the back lot is a bit dark. There have been security concerns, such as keycards being left in an unlocked box at a closed front desk, and keycards sometimes failing to work. The lobby is closed late at night, requiring guests to ring a bell for assistance. Noise can be an issue from hallway activity and the outside door banging shut.
