I received a gift that didn’t fit, so I drove an hour to do a refund or exchange. When I arrived, the shop owner, who was not very friendly, told me they could only do exchanges. There wasn’t really anything I wanted, as the store is not my style, overpriced and dusty. I finally found a pair of earrings, but they cost less than the shirt, so I asked for a refund of the difference. The owner refused this request, so I wound up buying a sweatshirt I didn’t need and paying even more money. While she may have made some money off of me on that day, I will never shop there again. The shop presents as a place that endorses good karma, generosity, and harmony, but the owner doesn’t seem to ascribe to those values.

Roses aren't even emerald, they can only be red or white, or some combination of them.

This shop is just the best! You can always find something unique. And the folks that work here are wonderful. Plus the spirit of the good ole Grateful Dead is alive at Emerald Rose Gifts!

Visiting Vermont and drove thru this little town. Quaint store fronts and looked friendly. So, I stopped in a few places.I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here.Darling clothes and odds and ends. The service, however, was dismal. The woman working there (not sure if owner?) did not even acknowledge me as I entered the tiny little place. I looked at some items (thinking of buying for myself and nieces).Tried to catch her attention and she, instead ignored me to wait on someone else. I am guessing she believed that middle-aged blonde woman was more her type of customer. When I stated I would move in an effort to give them room, she simply said "GOOD!"That said all I needed to know, if you know what I mean. She did not consider me her type of clientele, I guess.Fortunately, there are plenty of shops in Middlebury and Shelburne and Burlington.

Absolutely horrible staff... A lady behind the counter was very rude. I had my phone out and she immediately kicked me out of the store... Do not shop here, very disappointed.

I went to this store with my toddler on my day off. We own a house in Bristol and like to visit town and support the local businesses when we can. We walked in the door without even a greeting, and we were the only ones in the store. Then as I'm looking around, as it was my first time there, my kiddo was nearby but he found a wooden rack being used to hold hats. One of the spokes didn't have anything on it and my son pulled the peg out of the hole, as he is always curious in how things work and are put together. The women behind the counter then abruptly and rudely exclaims, "excuse me!" to my son (who obviously doesn't understand because he is a toddler). I grabbed it from him, put it back (as it was not broken, it just went back in the hole) and apologized to the owner and reminded my son not to touch, because of course I want him to be gentle and respectful, especially in public places. The woman still said nothing, despite the fact my son is very polite, just curious and he is a CHILD. I continued to look around because I thought it would be a neat place to find unique items, but due to how uncomfortable I felt, especially with my son, I decided to leave. As we approached the door, there was no acknowledgement of any sort, no goodbye at the least. I have to say I was disappointed from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. I am a very calm and understanding person, but I have worked in customer service from the day I started my first job as a teenager, and I find no excuse for people to be rude, judgemental and condescending, especially in that line of work. It is not hard to be kind, it's very simple actually. I also find it daring to have this kind of attitude during a pandemic while businesses are fighting to stay open, especially those that are not chains. Needless to say, I won't be back. I love the other stores in town, as does my son, so we will continue visiting those where the employees/owners are kind, helpful and welcoming.
