Came in and saw the owner treating their employees poorly. Selection looked solid, but cant return to a place where a company does not respect their workers.

Love this place for the house smoked pastrami alone! The bagels are the best outside of NYC! Plus a REAL on site butcher shop! Incredible burgers ? and poutine. So many choices and so little time… give yourself a treat and go out of your way to eat here! Breakfast is unbelievably good! I stop here whenever I can!

Wonderful, casual atmosphere for enjoying truly delicious meals for breakfast or lunch. Ricotta pancakes were amazing and the fried chicken sandwich was the favorite of our big group - juicy, scrumptious and big enough to share! The pantry is a bonus, filled with a range of specialty items for foodies.

We just went for a quick lunch and some friends time to share. It was busy when we got there, and we ordered a pastrami sandwich to share. It was really good.

A great lunch spot. Great selection on the menu. We had meatball sub, which was excellent. The pastrami was out of that! And the potato soup was fresh and delicious

Love the food to order and the grab and go! Grocery shopping there is nice a bunch of local options and it just feels like a cool store to shop in. I will return. Forrest is amazing!

I've had my eye on this place for a while because of the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try while in the area. I was really impressed by the Pastrami sandwich that came out of the kitchen here it was probably the best sandwich I have ever had. My kids and roommate had the same thoughts about their food as well. The atmosphere is quite nice as well it's a little store with a kitchen on one side and everyone I dealt with was very nice. Service was prompt for a place that makes the sandwiches to order especially for our large and somewhat complicated order.

We used Brownsville Butcher & Pantry for our wedding cake and they did an exceptional job! Needing a gluten free cake, we were very selective on who we went with in order for it to taste good for all guests. No one could tell the difference! We are so grateful and highly recommend them for whatever your catering needs are!

Arrived with a group at 2:03 pm on a Saturday to find BBP closed to go make pizza somewhere. Major upset to plans. No problem; won't be back.

Welcoming vibe, gourmet food, great service, and locally sourced meat, vegetables, bread, and more In 2021 and this year (2023), we visited Vermont and were lucky enough to be recommended the fantastic Brownsville Butcher and Pantry. Two years ago, this place was already a neighborhood center but even an everyday BLT is a masterpiece.During this visit, they had a barbecue takeover on the weekend in the end of August with the Butcher's Bratwurst ($14), Peter's Brisket Plate ($18), and the Smoked Chicken Wings ($14). According to another local patron, Butcher and Pantry always have takeovers and special events. Check out their social media channels on Instagram for the latest deals. As of August 1, 2023, the cafe is now open on Tuesdays from 7 am to 4 pm. The cafe's food is excellent, with doughnuts, gourmet coffee, ice cream, and various breakfast and lunch items. *Note, this Tuesday, August 1, the kitchen will not be open. Check social media for latest notes on this place. For a recent breakfast, we had an egg sandwich with bacon ($7.50) and the Pantry Griddler($9) with scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, black pepper sausage, stillson maple cream, and hash brown on the Portuguese muffin. The Portuguese muffin had an excellent flavor on the egg sandwich as well. There is seating inside and outside and a full-size market with vegetables, bread, and more. They don't sell the butcher and pantry bacon that they fry up at the cafe, and they use a large amount in the cafe each week, according to one of the butchers themselves.Long story short, if you are nearby as a local or visitor, you should plan to arrive early and check the schedule in advance on specials, but it is worth a visit. They are closed on Mondays, so please remember that too.
