Our stay at Blind Tiger in Burlington was a wonderful experience. The building itself is stunning, adorned with personality-filled decorations. The room was incredibly comfortable, the staff was pleasant, and the breakfast/snacks were efficient and delicious.

Blind Tiger is a true gem! We loved everything about this place. Quiet yet the atmosphere is cozy and personable. We stayed in Room 5 - well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was simple yet very delicious - far superior to any breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. The common areas downstairs were charming, comfortable and spacious. Coffee, tea and snacks available throughout the day were a really nice plus for us, especially welcome when we returned in the afternoons after long hikes in the area. Location was great. We enjoyed easy walks to the Church Street area for dinners and drinks. Everything about our stay was delightful and I’d highly recommend to anyone making their way through Burlington. We want to come back!

We had room 2 and it was absolutely beautiful. We had a private door to go out to the garden which was lovely! Claire greeted us, gave us a tour and showed us to our room. The whole building was beautiful and we loved the view and decor! The buffet for breakfast was incredible. There was no TV which was amazing! My husband and I rekindled our relationship, we talked to another couple. The whole experience was was relaxing and refreshing; the worst part was that we had to leave! It was our 20th anniversary and Blind Tiger made it even more memorable. We can't wait to go back.

Very overpriced hotel for what it is! One of the most expensive in the area. Checkin was clunky and confusing, no front desk just a woman with iPad that didn't seem to work very well. Stayed in Room 10, which for almost 600 a night was tiny, made even more claustrophobic by extremely nauseating decor (namely the headache inducing black and white wallpaper). Ugly maximalist decor throughout the whole place, including a camo and animal fur loveseat and a painting of a man vomiting???! Very cold decor that does injustice to the beautiful old building. On top of that the dirty duvet did not have a cover, just sat in between two sheets- seemed like it hadn't been washed. The breakfast was basic continental on a tiny cluttered table with stale bagels, bread that tasted freezer burnt and smoked salmon that was left out for hours!! Coffee was cold and when I tried to get someone to help reheat saw in the kitchen food still out and a container of preserved hardboiled eggs open on the ground. Clearly- the food is not fresh. Disgusting. I stayed here when it was The Willard Street Inn, a beloved place with lovely staff that clearly cared and it showed. Its too bad it was replaced with this.

Shay and the Team at Blind Tiger Burlington could not have been more welcoming and warm. The Inn has a unique special vibe. That coupled with the hospitality makes for a top notch experience in a excellent location.

This is a very charming inn. Each room is different. We stayed in Room 1 which had its own entrance and parking area. With lots of room (living room, bedroom, sitting nook, and a wonderful bathroom with double sinks and a great double shower, they have thought of all of the nice touches. The common areas are so comfortable and spacious as is the back yard. There are always snacks and drinks - hot or cold - available. The staff that we met were so welcoming and appreciative of their guests.Highly recommend!!

This is backpacker accommodation marketed to pretend it is a quality hotel. It is not. Our room last night, around $550 a night offered a view of the lake, but in fact only had a view of the rattling, noisy old air conditioning unit. The tiny room had sloping walls so watch your head if you need to visit the bathroom in the middle of the Night. I have no idea when the canopy over the bed was last cleaned but we are suffering the dust affects today. The students who welcomed us were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was terrible, just bread and jam and bagels. We stayed on the 3rd floor. To get the pretend view. There was no elevator! The stairs were creaky and steep. Our experience was awful. I never write reviews but this one deserves it. It is truly, truly awful. We have been on the road for a month and this one wins the prize for the worst. Ugh…. We have really enjoyed every other place we have stayed. It is a pleasant 10 mim walk into town. The neighbourhood is nice. It’s just that the room is so, so bad….I also believe that the standard response ‘I’m sorry that the room was not up to your expectation’ doesn’t really work in this situation as the other guests we met were all bewildered by their experience also.M trulyRooms: Awful

Stayed here with another couple while on an anniversary, fall leaves trip. Great location and unique and pleasant place to stay. Had everything we could possibly want and need except maybe a tv to watch college football...but plenty of spots for that in town. Very quiet and peaceful place and employees were Knowledgeable about the area and very helpful but left you alone. Decor is very eclectic and at first I thought it was strange, but it grew in me. Grounds are spacious and beautiful. Breakfast bar was the best and had a ton of yummy choices. Coffee was excellent...and they have snacks and treats available all of the time. Not sure if it because I had just been in Salem or because it was Halloween season, but felt kind of spooky being there in such a quiet, old place. Plenty of open spots to sit and relax or visit with other guests. Close to beach and downtown. We would definitely visit again.

Bug in between the sheets on arrival, had to kill it, discusting . No hair drier. No tv. Room rearranged from pictures to place the headboard against the windows blocking the view. Electrical extension cords and power strips everywhere. No access to a computer or printer. A beautiful old building that has lost its charm. We have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world. Sorry but this hotel was disappointing. (Took pictures of the bug and the spotted sheet to show the staff.)

The Blind Tiger near the university in Burlington is an absolutely charming lodging option. The rooms are beautifully appointed with plush furnishings that make you feel right at home.

This is a beautiful old home. It's clean, well appointed and the staff is lovely. Grace checked us in, gave us a tour and showed us to our room. We were on the top floor in a small but perfect room. I wanted to stay longer! The breakfast was great! A very nice spread. We ate out on the balcony overlooking the gorgeous backyard. It was the first dry day after 2 days of rain so it was so nice. This is a must stay when you're in Burlington!

We stayed in room two for three nights for $2,094.03 USD, we drove from Toronto.Don’t get me wrong the building is gorgeous, the room was modern and clean, but for the amount paid there was much to be desired. We skipped breakfast 2/3 days as it was buffet style and basically a bagel bar, we were pretty disappointed. The 24/7 snack bar was nice and we found ourself grabbing sweets when we got back from our day.The room was spacious (separate sitting and sleeping areas), but the bathroom was the size of our half bath at home. The shower door was too large for the wall. I thought I was going to shatter the door every time I used the shower as it would hit the corner of the wall. Also, 1 ply toilet paper for an over $2k stay? Wasn’t too thrilled about that. Also be aware if you are booking room two, it’s in the basement. You can hear everything happening upstairs and next door in room one (obviously it’s an old house). If that will bother you, book a higher numbered room. What did bother us, the rooms main door has a large gap at the bottom that makes it hard to fall asleep as the light from the hallway is bright and shines into the sleeping area. We had to use towels each night to block the light and darken the room.Overall, fine, clean stay. Probably will not return for a second visit.

Such a great spot. It is a 15-20 min walk to the center of town. My room on the third floor has a cute sitting area where you can see the lake. They are very friendly and accommodating. It has multiple shared lounge spaces where you can relax.

Older building - your experience here likely depends on whether you'd find that charming or bothersome. Pretty much was as anticipated from the website. Window AC units would struggle if you're here when it gets too hot. A little distanced from campus activities (~15-20 minute walk), but that was part of my aim. Breakfast spread had a nice variety (only available from 830, making 9am meeting start time tight), coffee options were good too. A few too many text messages for my liking (revised - though the last one was a helpful reminder about an item left behind & coordinating getting it back to me; thanks!). Overall, a nice place to stay while in town for a conference at UVm.
