7/3 ordered hose pot7/25 emailed to ask where is myOrder #: 880550423 was7/26 received an email backordered till 8/19. Lisa from customer service says in her email "I am sorry that the backorder was not noticed when the order was placed.Best I can do is split the shipping costs with you."So not clearly marked on their site item is backordered and wow so generous to split the cost of shipping $13.99 wow $6.99 how generous of you. When the pot is $89.99.I have never experienced before with on line not clearly stateing item is backordered before you buy it. No update that items is delayed and a poor compensation for poor performance as a retailer .

I really like Gardener's Supply company and I've never had a problem with their customer service. In fact, I only have good things to say about their customer service program. My complaint is the product, "twinkle light watering can" for outdoor use. I love this item but over time the battery pack stops working. I took extra care to protect the watering can but the product last for one season and then it stops working all together! I even protected it by moving it into the garage during the winter season and remove the batteries but when spring/summer came, I added new batteries and it worked for a couple of weeks. I then changed the batteries, and now the timer is not on schedule. it lights up during the day or is on all day even when I use the switch to designate OFF, TIMER options. The watering can concept was a beauty in my landscape but so frustrating when it doesn't work consistently!

Huge selection of trees, shrubs, plants and supplies. A gardeners' wonderland!!!They even have a good selection of fruit trees which are harder to find in my area. I just got a new apricot tree, to replace a mail order one that died.

This is one of 2 huge plant nurseries and inside gardening supply stores in the Burlington,VT region, they are both well worth the stop in any season.

I hope someone sees this before purchasing and saves themselves the hassle I faced! Should anything go wrong with your purchase, customer service is some of the worst I have experienced in my life.

I ordered an aquasave hanging basket from them. When it arrived I realized it was the wrong size, so I packed it up to return. Both USPS and FedEx's shipping charges were more than I paid for the item! When I contacted them, they sent a personalized canned response that they only take care of return shipping costs if the item was sent in error or arrived damaged. They offered to give me free expedited shipping on another product, but the expenses incurred in returning the original item were mine to pay. Sometimes in the name of good customer service and satisfaction you have to bend the rules and make exceptions. In my opinion, they should have either given me a refund or a credit to use on a future purchase. My husband and I have always been happy with items we purchased from Gardener's Supply in the past, but this experience with their customer service has left us bitterly disappointed and frustrated.

1st time ordering had a couple hiccups but they made it right immediately and with ease. I ordered some planters and one was broken during shipping. There was also a page missing from the instructions. All I had to do was call and give them some pretty basic information....no hassels.... and they sent out a replacement no cost to me. They also emailed the missing instructions all within like 24 hours.

Always a fun experience to wander aimlessly in this beautiful store. A gardener's paradise! Only downside is that most things are crazily overpriced.

My favorite store in Burlington is Gardener’s. They do a great job and have knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you are a plant n**** like me, check them out. Also, if you continue past their store, the Intervale has amazing trails.

Terrible customer service. I ordered several items as a Christmas gift. 2 seed packets constituted a very small part of the order. The seeds did not arrive, but I couldn't be bothered to call over this $8 oversight, not worth my time. However, 6 wks later, I get an email saying my seeds have shipped and I have a balance. I had cancelled my CC due to fraud. I called to say I didn't want the seeds since the gift recipient is no longer in town. I was treated very rudely by both the initial representative and a supervisor. They threatened to send me to collections over this $8. So disappointing and ultimately ironic because while on hold, you will be regaled by a recording touting their amazing customer service department.

This is a beautiful place to check out. They offer a huge selection of plants especially succulents and really take a lot of time to decorate because it’s beautiful! Can’t wait to bring my family here when they visit. Cool place, although a bit pricy, definitely unique.

Extremely outdated return policy. Once you buy, the only way to return is to pay for shipping back to them. My husband and I changed our mind on the garden bed we wanted less than 24 hrs after purchasing. I tried to cancel my order (0 business days later) and couldn't. I'm now stuck with a product I don't want and will eat the large shipping cost for the item. This return policy is extremely outdated compared to competitors. I will not be shopping here again.

Placed an order in May for a Father's Day gift for my 92 year old father-in-law. After a week of no shipping emails I logged in to check the order and happened to notice on the item page it stated "on backorder until June. Was never notified. June came and still nothing. Logged on again. Now on backorder until July. Contacted the company and was told this was for "new orders" and mine would be a priority once item was in stock. July came and I inquired again.I was told "great news, the item is in stock and should be shipping within the week". I was then finally sent an email saying my order had shipped on 7/15 with tracking number and anticipated delivery of 7/15/22. I doubted that but I told the recipient to expect it soon. Big mistake. When it did not arrive on the 15th (yesterday) I was not surprised or worried until I went to track it with FedEx. The package has not even been received by them yet. How can this company not consider this as deceptive? The recipient is a 92 year old who has been watching and waiting for a package since then. Half the growing season is gone. We are BOTH tired of watching and waiting. I will never shop with this business again. I am still not even sure they have the item back in stock to ship or if my father-in-law will ever get his Father's Day gift.
