Ordered the maple latte with oat milk. Loved the espresso they used and the maple wasn't too sweet or too bitter. This is definitely one of the best espresso roasts I've had in a long time. They also added some latte art, I was too excited to try the coffee to take a picture.Dietary restrictions: Only have whole milk or oat milk.

One of the best coffee shops I've ever been too, even after years of living in Brooklyn. They take their time with each order, and you can tell they prioritize making a good quality coffee over mass producing as many coffees as possible. They also have different drinkware when you dine-in, which is a really nice touch as most places still give you the same plastic cup either way. I cannot recommend this place enough.

hands down the smoothest cup of coffee and the best coffee list in the area. the fact that you can choose between multiple espresso options sets it apart, but the product is really what does it for me. everything i've ordered from onyx has been so smooth, so well executed. they always have a line out the door on weekend mornings and yet (table!) service is always fast. lately all weekend pastries have been sourdough (i think from slowfire?); they're good but sourdough pastry all kind of tastes the same so don't expect a ton of variety there. but i respect that this place knows what it's about and does it well. blows other popular coffee options in town (yes, even that one) out of the water in terms of execution

This is my very most favorite coffee shop in all the land; I'm here most every day. Things that make this place tops for me, in no particular order: - The variety. Three different bean options for espresso (and three for hand brew) makes for a CYOA experience. - The rotating menu. As a human, I delight in novelty. As a human with anxiety, I tend to forgo that delight for the comfort of the familiar. When the familiar is removed, delight is foisted upon me. - The staff. Are knowledgeable of their craft and full of the secrets of fine brewing, much like alchemists. Unlike alchemists, they are glad to share what they know with the uninitiated (I am the uninitiated). - The space. I mostly like to sit up front, where the light is prettiest and I can look at the plants. - The treats. There are a few local bake shops that provide the treats in the pastry case, depending on the day. They are all worthy.

I wish I could give this place a good review but I had a very bad experience. As I go to order my drink, my girlfriend and I (both queer) overheard a blonde barista talking to her coworker about how there was "no way" we were together and other rude things about us as a couple (essentially spewing heteronormative bs). When she finally acknowledged us and took my order, she immediately assumed we were not ordering together (despite both of us being at the counter) and she was generally inconsiderate during the transaction. I've worked in food service for many years and was genuinely appalled by the quality of service here. Please hire kind people.

The barista who I think is the owner was so sweet. Fantastic coffee, a good space to meet up to work. Would love a gluten free treat option, I'd definitely be a regular if I lived in the area. My friend loves their

This is a quaint little shop with a great selection of coffee and espresso. I opted for an Everything Nice Latte and it was, well, nice. Great flavor, not too heavy on the cinnamon, and was all around good. Not the best coffee I've had, but it was delicious enough to add to my list for when I frequent Burlington.I also had a chocolate croissant. It was very fluffy inside with a good crunchy exterior. The dough has this nice blend of sweet and slightly tangy, making for a wonderful croissant. Chocolate was a little too bitter, but didn't ruin the experience. Definitely worth the purchase.

Lovely people and tasty coffee. The Vermont Big Easy reminds me of the Cafe du Monde cafe au laits but without the harshness. One of my favorite treats!Vegetarian options: Alternative milks
