“I was in the Burlington area visiting extended family and managed to snag an Uber to do some exploring on my own. I had plans of hitting the waterfront and saw this vintage store was on my way from the coffee shop I'd posted up at, so I made a point to wait until it opened to check it out. I was not disappointed! While the shop itself is a little small, it's very well-stocked and curated. Being a designer, I really appreciated the color coding of the clothing racks. It felt easy to peruse versus the feeling of being overwhelmed you might encounter in other vintage stores that sorta pack the racks in. I was surprised at how reasonably all the clothing was priced. They also had a really good selection of accessories and smaller items that would make good gifts.Whenever I travel, I make it a point to visit a local vintage store and this definitely left a good impression on me. There were a few things I wanted to try on, but didn't for fear I'd fall in love and buy. I sadly overpacked for this trip and knew I didn't have much space left in the suitcase. However, now I know that this is a spot to return to when I'm back in the area. Hopefully, much sooner than later.”

“Rackk and Ruin’s jewelry is simply beautiful and thoughtful and truly timeless. The pieces are made to last a lifetime. I have worn my petite villa hoops and phia necklace everyday for the last 3 years and they still bring me so much joy. I will not buy jewelry anywhere else!”

“I loved this place! It was organized, clean, and lots of inventory. All of the staff was really friendly. They have everything from women's to men's and children's clothes. I was very impressed with the selection. Lots and lots of good fines! Amazing prices! Wish I lived in the area I would be back!”

“The "I specifically need ____" of thrift stores, Battery Street Jeans is likely the only place in town you'll find exactly what you want. Everything sold is special in some way—you may not find your everyday outfit, but you will find your new favorite. Given this, prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest around, but better than retail!”

“It's one of my favorite stores for costume clothing. Kari, the owner, is a wonderful human being. We saw some young women in there recently searching for prom dresses. Super fun, funky, and unique.”

“Impressively broad selection of items ranging from hand made pieces to designer sneakers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Prices are a little on the high end, I have found the same brands for less at other vintage stores, just something you have to keep in mind when stopping in.”

“I'm lucky that Barge is in Burlington and not where I live, because I'd struggle to not spend my paychecks here! Go for the expert curation - from vintage decor to choice clothing and fashion and even local artist pieces. I bought way too much and am going back again before I leave town. Until next time, Barge!”
