Cannot get a hold of anyone and my package was lost when being transported within this system. Highly disappointed with this facility and to even be writing a review about the postal office.

Had to remove my mailbox and get a PO box on Elmwood to get service after having my letterbox defaced/vandalized/tampered with repeatedly. The USPS natl phone line folks tell me to contact the station manager or postmaster or district offices, but I've not gotten responses from them. They did help me report through OIG.Their local PO responded by instructing me to get a PO box, so I did. The local PO doesn't follow USPS policies and seems to have some of its own, staff seem poorly trained compared to AZ/FL/IL/IN/MI/MN/PA/OH/WI offices I've interacted with. We decided its to get the USPS more funding by having customers pay for a PO Box :)

I can’t believe I’m writing a review of a post office, but my most recent experience was the worst I’ve ever had with any clerk anywhere. I’ve gone here many times and the experience is typically bad. Slow service, apathetic associates, and not much available in terms of supplies. This time was unreal. I was returning something, forgot to tape it, and when I asked her to tape it she said I had to purchase the tape. I said that was fine, and apparently misunderstood her because when she gave me the receipt it didn’t have the tape cost. I told her there was no charge, and she responded that “you never handed me the tape” in the most condescending and rude tone and face ever. I clearly misunderstood what she meant when she said I needed to pay for the tape, thinking I was paying for her to slap one strip of tape on there. I remained pleasant and asked if I could purchase the tape, and she made up some false claim that she couldn’t touch it after the label was on. What? That can’t be true, and even if it is, there was no reason for her to act that way towards me when I was completely pleasant the whole time. Now there’s no way my return is going to be accepted and I’ve lost $70. I’d rather pay $20 to go to UPS than here. It’s never been a good experience, but this was downright terrible. I know people have bad days, but it goes both ways, and she made mine so much worse. I highly recommend you go anywhere else if you need to ship something or get a passport.

By far the single worst government institution on God’s green earth. Went looking for a piece of mail that hadn’t arrived at my apartment after being sent out 2 weeks prior. The woman at the desk told me quote: “we don’t do the mail here.” Then what else do you do? Certainly not passport renewals. I booked an appointment to get a new passport last week, and a postal worker called me 30 minutes before my appointment and cancelled my appointment, and hung up on me mid sentence. I made another appointment for this afternoon, and yet again, this morning they call me and cancel my appointment. Frustrated, I ask “Am I ever going to get a new passport with you guys?” And the woman said “No probably not.” The fact that my tax dollars fund a pointless, incompetent, and pathetic excuse for a government service is a cruel joke. It would be a better use of that building if it were vacant and abandoned. I wish everyone who works there only the worst.

This is the worst post office on the planet. We should be able to give negative stars for places like this. Its as if the PO screens for employees that are genetically predisposed to not care about their job, other people, or the world around them and hires them for this location with an annual bonus for bad reviews on google.

Person working the counter named Debbie is one of the more unpleasant people ive interacted with lately and thats including the people that will follow you down the street asking for drugs. It is disappointing to see and hear someone be so bitter and rude at their customer facing job during pretty quiet and slow hours. It is clear that the only reason she has a job at the post office or even a job at all is due to whatever staffing shortage there may be.If someone were to have business at this post office, shy away from this sad stressed out individual unless you want to be either:A) berated and made fun of for taking up more than 5 minutes timeORB) to be ushered out the door because there might be one other person in line picking out an envelope.I was at this location from roughly 11:45am- 12:05pm (waited in line for 10minutes) and was told that I need to instead find a sheriffs office or travel to Connecticut or New York to get my fingerprints done in order to start employment.Debbie you are lazy. You lack compassion and decency which is probably why you are aging so poorly. I did nothing to you and in fact apologized twice for taking up any extra time despite there being another employee taking care of the one other person in the building at the time.I hope something set you on the right course but unfortunately that might be hard to do at 45 or 60 years old. Cant really tell to be honest.Have a good one you muppet.2 stars only because I found parking right outside.

I always have a pleasure talking with the post office workers, they go through a lot and are still there smiling every month when I come to get money orders for my bills. This location has plenty of metered parking, and is right downtown.

Website and associate on the phone claimed to be able to do fingerprinting at this location. Would call for 2 weeks straight and each time there was an issue, with either not enough associates or issues with the software

It's the worst post office in the state, maybe even the nation. Every time I go here it is always more expensive than the post office near my house. It will be the same boxes, same size, same weight, same envelopes, etc. Always sending it the most expensive way. They are 0 percent flexible. I had a paper folded up into a small envelope and the post office worker was claiming it was thicker than 1/4 inch but almost there....she wouldn't send it as non machinable envelope because of this. I had to spend $6 instead of $1 . Just one example of an experience I have every single time I go there. The post office worker was telling me what to do next time and I had to hold back, next time I'll just go to a different post office because they will send it.

Honestly, I don't want to write a 1-star review at all but here I am! Terrible customer service, unprofessional and rude behavior by the big old man! I came in for a pickup, there’s a long line but he doesn't care! We have to wait 10 minutes since he literally standing there doing nothing! He was rude toward me the entire time but I kept it cool! Then he redirected me to the one in Pine St multiple times and my packages weren't there either! He doesn't know what he talking about. I have no idea where my packages at! Please stay away from this place if you don't want to waste your time!

I no longer live in Burlington VT but had a mail delivery issue out there which I was diligently assisted with (during a holiday no less) by a lovely postal employee, Bill. He went above and beyond to try and resolve the matter which I will always remember and appreciate. Thank you, Bill!
