Over the phone the conversations we had were pleasant. Professional and what you would expect in customer service. However once I sent in a copy of my driver's license as well as more information in regards to the account I was going to open through email (due to covid) after three days of not receiving a response from Laurie I decided to open an account at peoples united bank.

This bank is the best! Customer service is what they are all about. They made our move from California to Vermont seamless. We won't bank anywhere else and we would rate ten stars if allowed.

Always friendly tellers to personally take care of your banking needs. Unfortunately some recent staff turnover has made some of the faces not as familiar. Hillary was excellent with transition from child accounts to checking accounts for my teens. Flexible and accommodating with teens learning to manage their own money. Use for savings/checking and safety deposit box.

Be careful of banking here! Discriminatory management and many hidden fees. I have experienced poor service and have heard from several locals about unfair practices or a general air of “your not affluent enough to care to provide quality customer service and product offerings”. It is probably due to the lack of local competition. Front line tellers are all very kind and professional though! If I could give a zero star however I would!
